Lake George Campsites Reviews
The cottages were great, however they were pretty expensive still with all of the fees tracked on. The location was really great, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The WiFi was bad.
Jun 03, 2025 · Scott PurdyI should have done my homework. Truly a dump. Very minimal maintenance is done…grass etc. Management very stiff not willing to please a customer. Excuses… Did not obtain the site we booked. Our friends either. The neighbors that came in on the second night - same story and no willingness to budge. Perhaps a tip would have worked… The good news is my money is accepted everywhere I choose to spend it and next time I go to Lake George, one of the other campgrounds will get it. Beware of the pool. Rust on the outer edges makes it an unsafe place to swim. If you like feeling like your camping in a truck stop - on the highway- this is the place for you. Internet is spotty at best.Enjoy!
Aug 02, 2024 · Stephen PigeonWe used the tent sites. Location depending on what you are looking for is perfect and horrible. Perfectly close to all the attractions within 20 mins, Mini golf and brewery are right outside the gate. Martha's down the road. Horribly close to 87 in the back where you will hear the trucks all night long. Campsites are okay, would have preferred a nice flat area but our site was a bit more rocky. The check-in was quick and easy, the shower was nice and clean, bathrooms on the other hand need more attention or better toilets and more time cleaning the sink area. We didn't get to use the pool area but kids did get to play volleyball and basketball with other campers so that kept them busy.
Jul 29, 2024 · BrianWent motorcycle tent camping; place was nicely laid out. Close to some major attractions and well priced. Friendly staff, and clean.Only real downside for me was distance to route 87, you could sometimes hear the semi trucks on the highway at night. There are other sites well away from the highway, so if in a cabin or camper; probably wouldn't have been as noticed.Other than that; I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Jun 02, 2024 · Michael ConteThe manger and front desk were less than accommodating. Very rude.My Reservation showed a truck and boat trailer. Manager refused to let us bring the boat+trailer onto the campsite. We reserved 2 RV sites with electric next to each other with more than enough room. Waste of money. Picture shows the reservation confirmation sent the day before we arrived. Manager made us keep the boat outside the campsites gates while presuming no liability if anything got stolen off the boat. This is the first and last trip to this “lake” george campsite.
