For many Ohioans, a true escape means getting out into nature, preferably with the soothing sounds of water nearby and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. If you're looking for a campground that combines extensive amenities with a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere, then Kenisee's Grand River Camp & Canoe in Geneva, Ohio, might be your ideal destination. Nestled within Ashtabula County, this expansive property offers a diverse camping experience, catering to both long-term seasonal campers and those seeking a short, memorable getaway.
Kenisee's Grand River Camp & Canoe, located at 4680 OH-307, Geneva, OH 44041, USA, is a well-established and impressive campground spanning over 146 scenic wooded acres. What truly sets this destination apart is its abundant natural features, including its namesake Grand River frontage and four beautiful spring-fed lakes nestled within the woodlands. This combination creates an idyllic setting for a wide array of outdoor adventures and peaceful relaxation.
The campground operates with a strong community feel, primarily serving seasonal campers who make it their home away from home for extended periods. However, it also thoughtfully provides a selection of overnight/short-stay sites, typically full-service pull-throughs, for transient visitors. This dual focus means that while there's a vibrant long-term community, short-term guests can also enjoy the full scope of amenities and the friendly atmosphere.
Kenisee's prides itself on offering a comprehensive camping experience. Reviews often highlight the cleanliness of the facilities and the dedication to providing planned activities and entertainment throughout the summer season. While some past feedback points to potential challenges with online information accuracy or specific site leveling, the overall sentiment from many campers is positive, emphasizing the beautiful setting and abundant recreational opportunities. It’s a place where families can create traditions, friends can gather for fishing tournaments, and everyone can enjoy the simple pleasures of outdoor living in Northeast Ohio.

Kenisee's Grand River Camp & Canoe, like many well-established campgrounds, may offer various promotions or special rates throughout the season. While specific current offers are best confirmed directly with the campground, common types of promotions often include:
- Seasonal Site Opportunities: Given its large seasonal camper base, Kenisee's often has opportunities for long-term seasonal site rentals, which offer significant value compared to nightly rates for extended stays. Inquire about availability and terms for seasonal spots.
- Off-Season Rates: While specific details aren't always publicly advertised, campgrounds often have slightly reduced rates during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) compared to peak summer months.
- Membership Discounts: As a Good Sam rated park, they likely offer discounts for Good Sam Club members. Other affiliations (like Thousand Trails or Coast to Coast, if applicable) might also provide benefits.
- Weekly or Monthly Stays: Booking for longer durations, even for non-seasonal campers, can sometimes result in a lower per-night rate.
- Special Event or Holiday Packages: During themed weekends or holidays, there might be specific packages that include activities or slight adjustments to pricing.
The campground's website (www.keniseegrc.com) or a direct phone call are the most reliable ways to inquire about any current promotions, availability for short-term or seasonal sites, and detailed pricing. Kenisee's Grand River Camp & Canoe Reviews
Very lovely private campground. Predominantly a seasonally owned camper location it does have several overnight/short stay pull through sites. Sites are full service (at least ours was). Our site wasn't level otherwise this would have been a solid 5 stars.
