It's a Good Day to have a Good Day at J&J's! This was my third time staying at this gem of a campground (and not my last). I enjoy gazing at the mountains topped off by the gentle babbling of the creek. Jessie and Jason go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a great experience. The campground and bathhouse are clean and well maintained. Their camp store is well stocked with essentials and treasures you will want to take home with you (check out the J&J swag). Several RV sites offer full hook ups which is a welcomed convenience. They are located about 20 minutes from Murphy, with plenty of shopping and restaurants.

2 of us were on a bikepacking trip and made this our stay night one and boy did we make the right decision. The campground is the perfect size, quiet, and very clean. The bathrooms offered excellent private clean up areas and very nice warm showers as well as a laundry area and a drying rack (which we used coming fresh out of an afternoon storm!). We were treated by the hosts as we embarrassingly asked for permission to sleep under the pavilion for the night but it was clear that it did not bother them nor any other campers. 10/10 will be back and cannot recommend this place enough!!!

The owner was insanely rude to my family and myself. We arrived for a vintage camper gathering. It was all going well, or so I thought. The campground itself is really boring and nothing to write home about. The events were fun only because of the other guests. Then, I am packing up to leave on the last day (I’m alone with my two kids) and the owner SCREAMS at my kids and tells me they are sick and tired of them being there because they were fighting… and destroying stuff? I apologized but was so confused. No one said anything to me or even gave a side eye about us being a problem… and then you just have a temper tantrum?? After I apologized she stormed off. My kids felt bad, I felt bad, so to make amends - they wrote out little apology notes to give them before we left and say thank you for the stay. We never found them so we left the notes somewhere they would find it. Of course, the unprofessional camp owners never responded. Weird thing was, they had “friends” at the campground with kids at the same time who were behaving exactly like my kids (and hello, ALL kids)… but I guess it’s fine for them to behave that way, since they were friends. For us, we were expected to be perfect?Kind of doesn’t matter because it was so boring, wouldn’t return. The “360 Mountain View and creek side” are a huge overstatement. I would never recommend to families!

J&J’s getaway is an absolute gem! Surrounded by mountains, nestled by a peaceful creek, where you can sit back, listen to the soothing sounds of the water and birds, and take in the most breathtaking sunsets. The atmosphere is serene and quiet, making it the perfect escape.Jessie and Jason, the owners, are truly the best—always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything you need. We originally planned to stay for a month but loved it so much that we extended our stay to four months. We only wish we could have stayed even longer!A special highlight was experiencing their vintage camper get-togethers, which were so much fun. They hosted games, a cozy bonfire, and potluck meals that brought everyone together. It’s clear they put their hearts into making this park a wonderful place to stay.If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming RV park, look no further. We can’t wait to come back!

Bring your Banjo, Guitar, Fiddle, Harmonica and Voices and Perform for All the Campers. Special Events occur regularly, so check in with the Hosts for an Update and Come on Out! Bring your RV, Van, Tent or Sleeping Bag and Enjoy the Stars in True Darkness! Level sites, Full and Partial Hookups are Available. Check the Website or Call for the latest info on Rates for Daily, Weekly and Monthly Stays. Y'all Come!(We just moved up here from Central FL, wanted some peace and quiet, and found this Perfectly Beautiful Place way out in the Mountains. Honestly, this is Heaven! Ya Gotta Come Out Here!
