Promotions or Special Offers
J&D Campground offers a transparent and structured pricing system for various stay durations, and while they may not advertise traditional "flash sale" promotions, their value is built into their seasonal and extended stay rates, along with ongoing benefits for guests.
- Flexible Stay Options with Tiered Rates: The campground provides nightly, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rates, allowing campers to choose the option that best suits their needs. The longer the stay, the more cost-effective the rate generally becomes, inherently offering a form of "promotion" for extended visits. For example, a monthly stay at $1290.00 (plus metered electric) offers significant savings compared to booking nightly for an entire month, and seasonal rates at $3300.00 (plus metered electric) provide the best value for long-term campers.
- Seasonal Camper Discounts: J&D Campground explicitly mentions "2025 Camper Discounts (pdf)" available for download on their website, indicating that seasonal campers benefit from specific reduced rates or packages tied to their long-term commitment. This is a significant advantage for Pennsylvania locals looking to establish a regular summer retreat.
- Transparent Pricing: Their website clearly lists current rates for 2025, including nightly ($75.00 for full hookup with 50 amp electric), weekly ($475.00), and monthly/seasonal options. This transparency allows prospective campers to easily compare costs and plan their budget without hidden surprises.
- Early Booking Advantages: While not a discount, the option to "rebook your current site for the following year before leaving the campground" and taking "new reservations... 50 weeks in advance" provides a distinct advantage for securing preferred sites, especially during peak seasons or holidays. This peace of mind and guaranteed spot can be considered a valuable benefit.
- Value-Added Inclusions: All sites, regardless of stay length, include water, 50 amp electric, sewer, cable TV, and free wireless internet service. This comprehensive set of inclusions provides excellent value, as many campgrounds charge extra for some of these amenities.
- Group or Event-Specific Offers: While not explicitly detailed as "promotions," the campground's robust activity schedule, including events with live entertainment and food trucks, can be seen as value-added experiences included in the camping fee, enhancing the overall visit without additional direct charges for entry to these events (though food/wine purchases from vendors would be separate). They also have large picnic pavilions that can be rented, which might have package deals for groups.
Prospective campers are encouraged to visit the J&D Campground website for the most up-to-date rate information and to download any specific seasonal discount documents. Direct contact via phone can also clarify any current availability or specific booking incentives.

Jun 14, 2025 · Lisa WhitmireStopped to visit family over the Holiday. Campground was clean and quiet. Would definitely return.
May 31, 2025 · JB KIf I could give zero stars I would. I do not leave bad reviews but this one needs to be said. We have been camping here for several years, in the exact same site every year. We rebook before we leave for the same site. This year as we’re driving to the campground our friends tell us someone has just backed into our spot. I call the campground and during the conversation the staff member reveals that she isn’t in the office but she’ll let the office know to give us the site on the opposite side of our friends that we are camping with. Great! I give her about 20-30 minutes and I call back to confirm that we’re all set. She says yes you’re in 4E. Another text comes from our friends and now someone is backing into our new site that we were promised. I call back and get the same staff member I spoke with. She has no sympathy whatsoever and tells me that if I want 4E to be next to our friends that we need to tell the people in our site to move and she’s not going to do anything about it. At this point we were 15 minutes from the campground. I then find out that this is the owner and she is still not in the office. 2 hour ride there and we turned around at a gas station and went home. I would not give that woman any of my money and will never go back. Terrible service, no compassion and didn’t even make any attempt to fix their mistakes.
Aug 16, 2024 · Tina ThomasJ&D Campground is great! They are a family owned business that truly does take pride in their work. It is such a great place to camp and they have so many different activities to participate in, such as bingo and mini golf. They are very organized and always willing to go out of their way to make your stay perfect!
Aug 19, 2024 · Rachael ZapataThis post reflects only from the perspective of one who purely visited a paying camper. The setting is very attractive. It is very close to Knobles Grove and an ice cream store. It has a nice sized pond with a fountain that is lit at night. A playground is centralized in the camp park. Other amenities are a pool, mini golf, and Church (which is nice and often not seen at a camp ground).
