Ives Run Campground Introduce
For Pennsylvania locals seeking a refreshing outdoor escape centered around a beautiful lake, Ives Run Campground in Tioga, PA, presents a compelling option. Situated on the shores of the Tioga-Hammond Lakes (a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project), this campground offers a fantastic setting for water-based recreation, including fishing, boating, and simply enjoying the serene lakeside environment. It’s a popular choice for RV campers who appreciate the convenience of full hook-ups and direct access to a wide array of activities.
While some past reviews touch on strict enforcement of rules, particularly regarding parking and interaction with staff, the overarching sentiment points to Ives Run as a "Great place to camp" with an "excellent lake to fish on" and a "great boat launch." This highlights its primary appeal to those who value well-maintained facilities and prime access to the water. If you’re a Pennsylvanian looking for a comfortable camping experience with a focus on lake activities in northern PA, Ives Run Campground offers a structured and amenity-rich environment.
Ives Run Campground is conveniently located at 710 Ives Run Ln, Tioga, PA 16946, USA. This address places it directly on the shores of Tioga-Hammond Lakes, which are part of a larger flood control and recreation project overseen by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The campground is situated in Tioga County, in the northern tier of Pennsylvania, making it accessible from various parts of the state via major routes like U.S. Route 15 (Future I-99) and U.S. Route 6.
The location offers excellent accessibility for campers with vehicles, including large RVs. However, a significant point mentioned in reviews is the strict enforcement of parking rules: "You only can park on the blacktop where your camper goes. You aren't allowed to park in or on the grass. If you have 2 vehicles, there is no room to park at your site. You will have to park a ways away and walk." This indicates that while the sites accommodate campers well, additional vehicle parking might be a challenge at individual sites, requiring use of designated overflow parking areas. Despite this, the overall accessibility to the lake and its recreational features is a major draw. The campground is typically open seasonally, from late April or early May through late October.

Ives Run Campground Reviews
Great place to camp. Only issue I have is the parking. You only can park on the blacktop where your camper goes. You aren't allowed to park in or on the grass. If you have 2 vehicles, there is no room to park at your site. You will have to park a ways away and walk. Great lake to fish on!! Great boat launch.
Jun 15, 2024 · Michael LeoneLike someone else said camp host who ever was on duty was rude. They could use some manners. Car was two tires on the grass, that was not even moved in and out. Could of asked nicely to move it over. How ever our camper door was wide open. But this lady ( camp hosts) decided to pound on the front of our camper. Don't knock nicely to ask us to move it. Didn't even have a chance to speak nicely or anything ran back across the road. Kindness goes along way. I know you deal with this alot, but first might be a nice hello can you move your car. NOT BEAT THE HECK OUT OF THE FRONT OF SOMEONE'S CAMPER. You think you would try a little to be nice first. The grass cutters made more of a mess than a parked car just saying. Or maybe EVEN the campers being backed in to the space.
Oct 21, 2024 · Brenda WolfeStayed on site 113. Very spacious and fairly level. Lots of room to spread out, and not too close to neighboring sites. Big open field behind it. The power outlet was between 114 + 113, and a bit far from where our camper cord was. So needed to use an extension. Otherwise I loved the campground. Bathrooms were always clean, family style, with flush toilets and hot water showers.
May 14, 2024 · Amanda FanslerThis was our second time camping at Ives Run. The park is nicely maintained. We enjoyed swimming at the swim area. We were in H116 in the Hickory loop. The site was fairly level and had enough room for our 28 ft Motorhome. Beware that most of the sites in the Hickory loop share a utility post (water/electric) between two campsites. We had to purchase a longer hose and 30A extension cable to be able to reach the hookups. We camped at Ives Run in a Motorhome.
Jul 15, 2024 · Robert WozniakThis is a great campground. Grounds and bath houses were very well maintained. Close to the pine creek rail trail and the PA grand canyon. Highly recommend camping there.
