Indian-Celina Lakes South Slope Campground is located in Bristow, IN 47515, USA, specifically within the larger Indian-Celina Lakes Recreation Area of the Hoosier National Forest. This places it in the heart of southern Indiana's beautiful forested landscape. Its accessibility for residents across Indiana is quite good, being just two miles south of Interstate 64 via Indiana 37. This proximity to a major interstate ensures a relatively straightforward drive for RVs and campers, allowing for a convenient escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
While the internal roads within the campground are described as "very windy and have some potholes," they are generally manageable, and the "angle of the site" often makes it "easy to back up into the site." "Some traffic noise" might be audible, but it's generally "not intolerable," allowing the sounds of nature to prevail. The surrounding Hoosier National Forest provides a verdant backdrop, making the journey to the campground part of the overall outdoor experience. The South Slope Loop is distinct from the North Face Loop, offering its own unique character, and it is considered very RV-friendly due to its electrical hookups, although this might result in sites being "closer together" than primitive spots. Nevertheless, "excellent tree cover" and "tree block between sites" help maintain privacy.

Indian-Celina Lakes South Slope Campground Reviews
The most amazingly beautiful campground yet! You will find yourself completely immersed in the grandeur of the forest. So quiet! So peaceful! Good for the soul. I don't like vault toilets but there is one flush toilet and shower building. The roads are very windy and have some pot holes, but it's easy to back up into the site because of the angle of the site. Sites are big and very spread apart. However service is only 30 amp and no sewer or water. Water is available at the shower building which is close by. We love this place! Lots to explore here: historic house, cemetery, lake, hiking, biking, etc.
May 30, 2025 · Maria Hidalgo DolanIt was a very beautiful campsite very friendly stuff we stayed there for a week and they were always Pleasant and if you needed anything they'd be right there for you. The campsites are very nice they only downside was I do wish that they would do a little bit more maintenance on their Trails there's a lot of down trees. But really really nice place to stay I did some photography why I was there I will put it below come check out my photography on Facebook photo storm photography.
Aug 11, 2023 · Emily RoarkOne of my favorite places to camp! My last visit someone had even left a site-warming gift :)
Jul 22, 2024 · Graham ZBeautiful hidden gem!! Came here in 2014 and 2022 and had great experience both times. Nice shady spots that are spaced apart. Camp host Lonnie was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms clean and quiet campground. 5 stars for the beautiful campground, but the showers were disappointing as they only stayed on for 5 seconds without holding it in, which makes for a difficult shower. I get the concept, but 5 seconds, come on. And also disappointed we got wet firewood so we were unable to have a fire the nights we were there. Checked out the lake and historical house, which was nice. There wasn't a playground at the campground, but 2 swings and horseshoes by the shower house. The beautiful and quiet campground will have us visit again someday!
Jul 20, 2022 · Rachel DCampground hosts were great. Place was clean and well kept. Sites were roomy. There was one pit toilet for 4-5 campsites. It was the first campground we encountered that was 100% handicapped accessible showers. Only complaint was 1 there was no light around the toilet at night. Could have been lights were out during our visit and 2 we had severe weather come through and we were in a tent. Hosts drove by several times through the night to make sure we were ok.
