Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks Introduce
huttopia adirondacks reviews
For New York residents looking to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Adirondacks without sacrificing comfort, Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks in Lake Luzerne offers an innovative and unforgettable "glamping" experience. This isn't your traditional rough-and-tumble camping; it's a meticulously designed outdoor retreat where nature meets modern convenience, providing a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. For locals in our state, it's an ideal way to escape the city bustle and immerse yourselves in the serene natural environment.
Huttopia's unique approach to camping involves "ready-to-camp" tents and chalets, crafted from wood and canvas, that come fully equipped with real beds, kitchenettes, and even private bathrooms in many models. This takes the hassle out of setting up camp, allowing you to immediately dive into your vacation. One reviewer highlighted the balance perfectly: "The tents are very well spaced, so you get to enjoy the forest in quiet while still being very conveniently located for all the activities in the Lake George area. Thank you for a lovely experience!!" This speaks to the thoughtful design that prioritizes both privacy and accessibility to fun.
While one review noted an unexpected encounter with spiders, emphasizing the genuine forest setting, it's clear the overall experience at Huttopia is overwhelmingly positive. As that same reviewer stated, "Everything else was fantastic though! Friendly staff. The heated pool was great! The tent had everything you need to cook. We really loved it, except the spiders." This illustrates that despite being nestled in nature, Huttopia provides a high level of comfort and service. Another guest echoed this, praising the "absolutely awesome time" and "amazing staff who went above and beyond to make our stay feel as comfortable as possible." From the cozy lodge stocked with amenities to the variety of activities, Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks is redefining outdoor getaways for New Yorkers, offering a blend of wilderness immersion and luxurious comfort.
Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks is conveniently situated at 1571 Lake Ave, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846, USA. This prime location places it deep within the stunning Adirondack Mountains, yet just a short drive from the popular Lake George area. For New York residents, this means an accessible and often scenic journey, whether you're coming from the greater Albany region, or even further south from New York City (approximately 3.5 hours away) or north from Montreal (2.5 hours away for international visitors).
Nestled at the base of Kenyon Mountain and spread across nearly 300 acres of woodlands, the resort offers a true sense of immersion in nature. Despite its secluded feel, it maintains excellent accessibility to nearby towns like Lake George Village and Queensbury (less than 15 minutes drive), where you can find grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and other essential amenities. This balance allows guests to enjoy the tranquility of the wilderness without feeling completely isolated from conveniences.
A unique aspect of Huttopia's design is the use of central parking areas, located away from the accommodations. This limits vehicle traffic within the camping areas, ensuring a quieter, safer, and more peaceful environment for guests to enjoy the sounds of nature. While you won't park directly at your tent, wheeled carts are provided in all parking lots for convenient loading and unloading of your belongings. This thoughtful approach enhances the overall glamping experience, making it an ideal, accessible escape for New Yorkers seeking a harmonious blend of nature and comfort.

Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks Reviews
Spiders! Big, small and everything in between. In the bed, on the walls. The tent does not have anything to zip or seal along the bottom of the front entrance. It did keep flying insects out, but anything that crawls can join you inside. After killing a few we were already anxious and uncomfortable, then a giant wolf spider came to say hi and we packed our bags and left at 11 pm the 2nd night. I would have expected a couple, after all it is in the forest. But the amount and size were too much for us to be comfortable sleeping there.Everything else was fantastic though! Friendly staff. The heated pool was great! The tent had everything you need to cook. We really loved it, except the spiders. There needs to be a way to seal along the bottom of the entrance to keep those creepy crawlers out.
Jun 07, 2025 · Meredith MontgomeryWe had an absolutely awesome time at Huttopia Lake George! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay feel as comfortable as possible. The lodge was super cozy and well-stocked with food, drinks, and games. The tents are very well spaced, so you get to enjoy the forest in quiet while still being very conveniently located for all the activities in the Lake George area. Thank you for a lovely experience!!
Jun 03, 2025 · Ivan VanchevWe just had the best experience at Huttopia Lake George Adirondacks. We stayed for three nights as a couple with our toddler and loved every minute. We booked the Trappeur tent and were blown away by the value… a super reasonable price for what you get.The tent itself was spacious and cozy. It had electricity, a beautiful wood stove that kept us warm at night, and even a private bathroom with a hot shower, which made the whole trip so much easier with a little one. Everything was clean, comfortable, and felt close to nature. It rained on the second night and the sound of the raindrops on the canvas roof was really soothing and beautiful.During the day we visited the main lodge, where we feasted on the yummiest crepes for breakfast. My wife is French and she swore by them. That’s another thing that’s so unique and cool about Huttopia… it’s a French-owned company so there’s a French vibe, French food, music and little touches.Which brings me to the best part of our trip… the staff! They were so helpful in every regard from day 1. Johann made us feel right at home. He made sure we had what we needed to make a fire on the first night so that our toddler could enjoy smores. He was always super personable as was the rest of the team. A+What else? There’s a huge pool. Games. A great playground. Fun activities for kids. Good wine. I could go on. Can’t wait to go back.
Jun 08, 2025 · Dmitry TrakovskyWe left two nights into a five night stay because the temperature at night was dipping into the 30s and the little camp stove only holds 2 logs at a time; which made it impossible to build a large enough fire to keep the tent warm. This is likely not a problem June-August, but in mid-May the nights are still cold so keep that in mind when planning your trip.We also left after we realized there is nothing to do in the area because everything is closed despite it being a few days away from Memorial Day. A local at the boat launch on Lake George told us it’s usually much busier; but this year has been dead. We drove around the area for two days and couldn’t find any local attractions that were actually open.
May 22, 2025 · LindsayExtremely Disappointed – Poor Customer Service and No FlexibilityWe booked 5 tents at Huttopia Lake George for our family and friends – a group trip we were all looking forward to. Due to a change in plans, we needed to move our reservation just two weeks later. We contacted them five days before our scheduled arrival, not asking for a refund, just to shift the dates and reduce the stay from 3 nights to 2 nights. Obviously, 3 nights cost more than 2, so we weren’t looking to get any money back – just a simple adjustment. What we got in return was silence and complete lack of support. The customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and the manager was totally unreachable – seemingly in hiding. We’ve made multiple attempts to get help and were met with zero flexibility or professionalism. It’s even more frustrating considering members of our group go every year and have always supported this place. This experience has completely changed our perception. Once they take your money, they clearly don’t care.
