Horse Camp Reviews
I love going camping here. It's a great place to trail ride spend time with my horse. Always clean. And their spots in the creek where my horse can swim. I go every chance I can get.
Jul 14, 2022 · kenda wesselHorse only campers and all state forest campgrounds are fee areas, 20dls a night. Really nice area for those who have horses.
May 29, 2022 · Idilio CamposFor all you die hard campers that dislike motel 6 style camping lots that charge you for all those extra amenities that undermine the integrity of the great outdoor experience....Horse Camp located deep in the heart of the Mendocino National Forest might be that wild edge your looking for. Just drive down the dirt roads and when you see an open space, stake your claim, set up camp, and enjoy the Redwoods in all of there Majesty, right from your exquisitely primitive site. There is no charge to stay at Horse Camp but there is also no running water, toilets, plug ins, no "on site" staff to answer questions, no convenient slabs to put your tent on, there is literally nothing and no one between you and nature, and that is exactly what I like most about it.
Jan 27, 2022 · Justin LaustrupA very cool spot for camping amongst the gorgeous Redwoods of Northern California. Can also make for a nice spot for day use to go for a walk on some of the trails around the grounds, or a little trip to the nearby creek. Very limited amenities at this spread out campground. Lots of helpful things for horse riders (obviously by the name) like water for animals, a couple pen areas, lashing posts at most the camp spots and roads that lend to ease of pulling a trailer. Camping here is supposed to be priority for horse users. But it has always been empty when we have used it. There are no restrooms, no potable water and very little garbage cans.
