Hobuck Beach Resort is spectacularly located at 2726 Makah Passage, Neah Bay, WA 98357, USA. This address places it at the very northwestern tip of the Olympic Peninsula, within the Makah Indian Reservation. This unique geographical setting provides an unparalleled sense of being "away from civilization" and offers direct access to the rugged beauty of the Pacific Coast.
Accessibility to Hobuck Beach Resort involves a scenic drive along State Route 112, which winds through picturesque coastal and forested areas of the Olympic Peninsula. From US-101 near Port Angeles, you would turn onto SR 112 and follow it all the way to Neah Bay. Within Neah Bay, you would turn onto Cape Flattery Road and then left onto Hobuck Beach Road to reach the resort. While the roads are generally well-maintained, be prepared for winding coastal drives and potential changes in weather conditions that can affect travel, especially in the winter months.
Upon arrival at Hobuck Beach Resort, you'll find that it's divided into distinct areas: a main camping field (north end) and a cabin/RV area (south end). The resort is situated very close to Hobuck Beach, with easy beach access from all lodging types. This direct proximity to the sandy shores means campers are just a short walk from the ocean, perfect for immediate enjoyment of the beach, surfing, or simply listening to the waves from your site.
It's important to note that since Hobuck Beach Resort is on Makah Tribal lands, visitors engaging in recreational activities (including camping at the resort or visiting nearby attractions like Cape Flattery and Shi Shi Beach) are required to purchase a Makah Recreation Permit. These permits can typically be obtained at the Hobuck Beach Resort office or in the town center of Neah Bay. Cellular phone service can be limited in this remote area, and while some Wi-Fi is available in certain cabins or areas like the bathhouse, it might not be consistently strong throughout the entire resort. Planning ahead with downloaded maps and necessary supplies is always advisable for a smooth trip to this beautiful, secluded destination.

Hobuck Beach Resort Reviews
For the price, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. There was a lot of hair in the shower and floors of the bathroom, the counter tops had food on them, the bunk beds had sand on them, there was used soap in the shower and sink area, as well as sand all over the couch and some garbage left behind from previous guests. The WiFi wouldn’t connect as well. It’s a beautiful spot though.
Jun 28, 2025 · Brissa OchoaSince I already wrote a review for Cape resort, I need to post a review for Hobuck too. We get out to Neah Bay a couple times a year to fish and love staying at Hobuck. We have stayed in a couple of the south cabins and will be staying in a north cabin this year. The cabins are a bit roomier than the Cape cabins and they have a kitchen sink and a couple burners. Some Have full kitchens but you have to check. The deck out front is big enough for our chest freezer and a few chairs. The view is incredible as you are looking straight west out into the ocean. The beach area is sandy and a great spot to relax. Rooms are clean and the bedding is sufficient. Some of the cabins sleep four and some sleep six.
Apr 01, 2025 · Paul ThompsonWe had a great experience camping here in our tent! There's a big field for a mix of tents and RVs, and groves of trees for tents only which are perfect for the purpose. We pulled up after they'd closed and filled out an envelope that said how long we'd stay, what our vehicle was, and just paid the following day. It was a super chill experience. The bathrooms and showers were also a welcome experience to anyone who knows tent camping. You can hear the ocean waves all night, and walk right to the beach from the campsites. Highly recommend, feels more chill and genuine than the high-strung national parks.
May 11, 2025 · Collin Reid$30 a night for this? Super disappointed. We usually disburse camp, as most of those sites are better and FREE. However, you can really disburse camp anywhere around Shi Shi since its on a reservation. You dont really get a "site". Its an open field that people just smash as many plp on as possible. The bathroom and showers are disgusting. They had zero TP the whole time we were there. If it was not literally the only camping stop around, i would have passed.
Jul 03, 2025 · Sloane PetersenAbsolutely wonderful view in the RV south campground to wake up to!! Great, clean amenities & even offers an electric vehicle supercharger (free of charge!!) with the stay! Other than their pricing ($60/night), I loved this place!
