Historic Valley Campground Reviews
I camped here for so many years and my family and had such great experiences! I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed in the staff of the campgrounds! I made a reservation for a camping trip but then called back the following week trying to reschedule due to upcoming storm , they told that my reservation was made for the week prior and that I already missed my time! So now I’m out of the money for my camping trip nor did I receive any refund amount! I will no longer be camping here with my family needless to say !!!
Aug 07, 2024 · bill waterhousePositives: the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The other campers were all decently friendly and we always felt safe.Negatives: there's mold on the bathroom ceiling (in fact the whole bathroom is a little gross), all the campsites appear more for trailers and vans so finding a place for your tent was difficult and there's almost no grass. Some campers did not tend to their clearly distressed and yipping dogs for much of the sleeping hours as well as many screeching children running ammock after quiet hours.Notes: it's affordable and not a bad setup...they have a lake and some playground like stuff for the kiddos.we can see how people who summer at campgrounds may like it but if you're looking for a place to pitch your tent for the weekend try to find a state park or something.
Sep 04, 2022 · Yabneel MarreroMy wife and I stayed 3 nights while exploring the Berkshire area. This is one of the most unusual campgrounds we have stayed at. The roads into and around the campground are in rough shape. The sites are oddly laid out and the hookups somtimes difficult to access. For example, our lakeside site was difficult to back in to and was configured to put our trailer door facing away from the lake. And we had to run our electric cord and hose quite a ways to hook up. But....we loved it. Our site was spacious, beautiful and peaceful. The staff was friendly, the restrooms were nice, and it was a very pleasant stay. One note-if you have an RV or trailer, enter via Kemp St rather than Bradley and avoid the wicked hill on Bradley.
Oct 04, 2021 · Paul DamerellWhile at first, the staff was friendly, as soon as I ran into a problem, they accused me of questioning their integrity. I believe it all stemmed from a misunderstanding. I needed a campground with electric They said they had it Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be only 20 amps. I insisted I asked for 30 amps but they said I didn't . I guess the old saying is correct Assuming makes an a. Out of you and me . So beware, if you need 30 or 50 amp ask fo it.Also I think Bonnie needs some help in consumer relations Instead of automatically assuming I was attacking her integrity, she should have tried to appease me . Her husband, who got involved actually told us we weren't getting our money back l just feel the whole situation could have been handled betterThe bathrooms during my stay, were disgusting with paper and water all over the ground Others I talked to said they weren't usually like that I will never know because I wouldn't ever go back to a place I was treated so poorlyOn the positive side, they had a great band Sun night if you don't mind hearing the music back at your campsite
Sep 05, 2023 · Anna PolanskiIt was okay to stay for one night. The staff is nice, amenities are too, however campers are not informed about quiet hours and not many people followed a rule of calm after 10 pm.
