Hill Top Camping Area Reviews
Enjoyed 2 night stay, in the camp. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Jun 01, 2024 · Vlad VoloshinIn terms of activities, this is a GREAT place to be, they have this family Olympics event that's really low-key, not cut- throat competitive, and lots of fun. The lake, though small, is beautiful and really clear. The trails around the lake are quite nice as well.Camping-wise, the bathroom we were near, while very clean, didn't have showers or a place to wash dishes. We were only there two nights, so the shower thing wasn't a deal-breaker, and the other bathroom where you could wash dishes wasn't too far away. But perhaps the thing i didn't care for the most at the site was that there was no real privacy between one site and the next. They were all on the same plane, and it felt like everyone was all in the same site. Yes, I like socializing a little while camping, but I prefer the downtime where I don't have the distraction of other people being right there.
Aug 29, 2023 · Talal JabariOur family enjoys cabining at GLSP, but we always spend some time up in Hilltop area to use the showers, and also to get a little bit of Verizon cell service, when the planets are aligning correctly. The sites are nice sized, as with most state parks, and quite a lot of mature trees and shade, as well. Nice area, with hiking trails that connect up here, as well as down lower. A bit more of a hike to the beach than the cabins are, but overall a nice place to spend time. :)
Jul 15, 2022 · Stacy RomaineIt's beautiful here. Downside poor phone and internet service because of location. Beach and concession stand clean and reasonable prices. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful
Aug 06, 2024 · Evan GottliebCamping was good , facilities were best of any park we've been to this year and We have been to several , very clean . I do think there is a safety issue at the park , when coming from the beach there is no stop sign entering the main road and there is no stop sign heading to the hill top sites which is a collision waiting to happen , the sign coming from hilltop should be placed coming from the beach area before entering main road. Just saying.
