May 12, 2025 · VickyWe are so enjoying our stay at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, TN. This campground is about an hour south of Nashville, TN. Large spacious sites with plenty of shade. We didn’t use the bath house so can’t provide any info there. The camp store was well supplied. Sites are water and electric only. Dump station area is very wide with plenty of space to maneuver. We have a 38 ft class A and had plenty of space to back in to our site (53) and a nice wide concrete pad allowing for our outdoor patio rug, grill, and chairs. All sites have a fire ring and picnic table. Our site has hammock posts that allow for 2 hammocks. We arrived the day after a treacherous storm system had passed through the area leaving lots of flooding so a couple of the trails were limited by standing water but still plenty of area to walk our dogs. Across the street from the HH Campground is the HH State Park which has a restaurant. There is a Dollar General and an Ace Hardware within 5 minutes of the campground. We drove 45 minutes into Murfreesboro to a beautiful outdoor mall shopping area for stores like Belk, Chicos, and Pandora with restaurants such as Longhorn Steakhouse, Panera, and many more. 15 minutes in the other direction took us into Lewisburg, a quaint small town with a Wal-Mart and quite a few privately owned pizza places and diners. I hope you find this helpful as you plan you’re adventures. We would definitely stay here again. Safe travels.
