Gunnison KOA Journey Reviews
We're here now and leaving in the morning. This is a nice place. Dave's (owner) a good guy. This RV Park is well taken care of, it's quiet, and the restrooms are clean. The animal farm adds a "neat twist" to things. Dave's a busy guy and I watched him take the time one day to give the kids in the park a ride on the pony. The only set back to this RV Park is the location of the dog park, but the way this place is set up, it doesn't matter.
Jul 03, 2025 · Ronnie ReyesMy wife and I recently spent 8 nights in a RV site and it couldn’t have been nicer. Dave and the crew were so nice and helpful and they made the visit even more enjoyable. All the animals are a nice touch also. We will definitely be back.
Jun 25, 2025 · David SchauerUnique RV Park with pony's, donkeys and goats roaming freely thru the park. I saw several people petting the animals during their morning walk.Very quiet and well manicured landscaping.Only one negative. It would be more big rig friendly if some tree branches were trimmed back a little more. 😉
Jun 10, 2025 · TravelUSAI don't often review, but this KOA was not the average one. We booked it a week out and I didn't do much research beyond if they had showers and allowed camp fires. We rolled up and to my absolute delight, they have a mini farm! Donkeys (and a baby donkey!!), mini horses, goats roam around and all seem to be super friendly. They had a giant pig roaming too but I only saw it the one evening. It was hilarious watching them try to corral it back into a pen. Pigs are smart and stubborn incase you didnt know. The staff were all nice and helpful in getting the lay of the land. Close access to the Curecanti National Recreation Area and reasonable distance to Black Canyon. I will be back with my kids in tow in the future.
Jun 01, 2025 · Kayleigh LoosGreat location. Day trips to Lake City, Crested Butte, and Black Canyon all really close. Kids were entertained the entire time.
