Greenwood Acres Family Campground Reviews
What seems like a beautiful campground turned into a horror week. Tons of rules not on their website or posted you couldn’t even imagine. Old people patrolling yelling at you. We found out they are under new management and it is a complete nightmare. Staff yelling at you following you into bathrooms standing outside of stalls. We have electric bikes and turned them off (battery dead) and still yelled at telling us to remove the batteries. Yelling at kids in pool screaming over our special needs children. Yelling at people for every little tiny thing. If someone is checking in you have toWait for however long it takes to enter and they will yell at you if you go around. Driveway full of pot holes. Everything is closed all week for the kids except the pool and beach. Can’t drop off kayaks anywhere to get to lake you have to pull them hundreds of feet across the sand even though there is a road that goes around to the side of the beach, with no posted signs you will get yelled at for driving on. It’s like walking on egg shells you don’t know what you’re going to do wrong next. No one had their animals on a leash just running through our campsite all week but not allowed to put up a gate or playpen. We were looking no for a new campground to bring our children to yearly but this will never ever happen again for us to come back here. 80% of the workers are completely rude and will drive up and down the roads looking for things to yell at you for. We literally have been hiding inside of our camper for the last part of our stay in fear to do something else wrong. We are all about following rules but they are not even posted. We had toRequest a printed copy and were blown away by two pages of fine print rules that go on and on and on. I highly do not recommend coming here if you are an outgoing person you will most likely get screamed at. They don’t even give you a chance and explain things they just scream at you and start radioing for backup. Not much shade on sites. Fleas on floor of bathroom at pool bath house, smelled of urine and did not appear cleaned daily, and very hot. Not sure why but every time you leave they check your tag in the dash. Don’t bring a golf cart if you’re under 25 it’s another rule that makes no sense. Kids can’t have hover boards or scooters. The staff threatens campers to “throw the out” if they don’t do exactly what they say, we heard it all week and were told this also. We will NEVER be back and we camp all over the country, sad.
Jun 27, 2025 · Samantha SmithWe found this place due to a lot of other people. Saying, what great experiences they had, and let me tell you. They were right. This might be a little lengthy, we had to reschedule for a different day. They were very accommodating, very quickly, getting it done, friendly, once we arrived, we were met with very friendly people. Everyone on the staff, the 4 days that we were. There were absolutely fabulous, not one person was anything but accommodating. We decided at that time to go. Ahead and take a seasonal spots, we were lucky there was a seasonal spot available.all of our paperwork. And everything was done right there at the office. We did have to make a few faxes to some places. But everything was done quickly efficiently and friendly. I can't emphasize enough on the friendliness and the cleanliness. The place is beautiful and they have so much stuff. Going on, if you're looking for a family friendly campground with tons of seasonal people who are great, always nice. This is the place to be I. Highly highly recommend it, and now we're gonna be regulars. There too can't wait for years of enjoyment. There, thank you again so much, penny.
Jul 03, 2025 · Penny GI guess they are under new management now, the staff threatens campers and are rude. They definitely do not welcome non seasonal campers by any means and staff patrol the street like police and yell at you for every little thing. All amenities except pool were closed all week for the kids. Staff will chase you down to tell you that you broke a rule that’s not posted or on the website. Will NEVER return. Pool house bathroom dirty hot and full of bugs. Could be a beautiful fun campground but the book of rules and rude staff ruins your week and makes you just want to pack up and leave.
Jun 27, 2025 · Samantha SmithOh boy camping in a trailer park. Everyone driving golf carts completely obliterated from alcohol, everyone has a shed and a deck with camper set up almost permanent, the place screams drunken trailer park and any good reviews are from the drunks more or less, super strict security watching you , making you feel watched and guilty of something wrong..... Feel like camping in a parking lot with drunks, super packed and very few weekends sites only in the blazing sun. Good sites are rented to the waiting list for yearly renters. If you enjoy traditional camping avoid this place like the plague. But many people like that style of setting up in a trailer park and call it camping.
