What a huge lake! Had no idea this one was over here! Campsites are available all around... they include bear boxes, because as the sign says, "Welcome to Bear Country," 😁 restrooms are also available, and may I just say how nice they are... very well maintained! Thank you!!! The water looks low, but there still is a whole lot of it... fishing, hiking, walking, biking, boating, paddle boarding... mostly explore and enjoy you and what is out here! Seen deer, big horn sheep's, little chipmunks,geese... check it out!
Sep 18, 2023 · CAROLYN CASHMANWade fishing the tailwater here while the flows are low is fun and rewarding. This doesn’t seem like a tailwater. It seems like a freestone, in a canyon with no one around. The further downstream of the dam you hike, the more secluded you will be. It’s a fun place to fish in the winter time! The hike from the parking lot to the river is steep! Take your time and be careful.
Jan 10, 2022 · Christopher PittmanOne of my favorite but the water level fluctuations the past decade has been extremely dramatic and it's advised to check the lake levels before deciding on a fishing location.
