GnomeWood Campground is conveniently located at 24234 Suttle Rd, Veneta, OR 97487, USA. This puts it squarely in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, making it easily accessible from major population centers like Eugene and beyond. For many Oregon locals, the drive to Veneta is a scenic journey through lush farmlands and forests, setting the tone for a relaxing escape.
Specifically, GnomeWood is situated west of the famed Oregon Country Fairgrounds. While many campgrounds might be found directly adjacent or to the east of the Fair, GnomeWood's location offers a distinct advantage: it's on the "uncrowded side of the neighborhood," both in terms of people and traffic. This means a more peaceful approach and departure, especially during busy event times.
From the campground, guests can typically walk to the Oregon Country Fair admissions booth. The walk is about 8/10ths of a mile (or eight blocks) and takes approximately 15 minutes at an average pace. This involves a 1/3-mile walk to Aero Road, followed by a half-mile path through picturesque forest and fields. This proximity, combined with its quieter location, makes GnomeWood an ideal choice for Fair-goers seeking a tranquil base. For those arriving from further afield in Oregon, Veneta is well-connected via state highways, ensuring a straightforward journey to this charming camping spot.

An absolutely GORGEOUS campground. The aesthetic was fantastic, it had clean toilets, hot showers, and plenty of amenities you wouldn't expect like a homemade miniature golf course along with several other games. Heather and Bob were incredibly kind and friendly (even sharing fresh Kettle corn and giving us a jumpstart the following morning.)We definitely intend to visit again when we have time for a longer stay.
Aug 16, 2019 · Eric LawsonThis is our 2nd time camping here and it won't be our last. We love that it's kid-friendly and quiet. All of the staff are friendly and kind! Jul 16, 2024 · Christie WIt's a lovely and quiet camp with lots of fun things for kids to do.The people who run the camp are incredibly welcoming and helpful. It seems like they really want to make your camping experience the best one ever!
Jul 10, 2023 · Noneya BizznezzIt's a magical place run by the most lovely people! So much room to roam free and explore, with plenty of space for comfortable camping accommodations on highly maintained, beautifully landscaped grounds. Fun activities for the whole family, including a play area for kids, fire pit complete with guitar strumming campfire sing alongs, not to mention the beautiful old barn used for dancing, music and other events. Full service facilities, including hot showers and restrooms make this quaint spot just rustic enough without feeling rough! In addition to Oregon Country Fair weekend camping, they also host events and have a couple camper cabins in addition to campsites. We had so much fun there and made a lot of new friends the few days we spent at Elfenwood, we'll be sure to make this our family summer spot every year!!
Sep 06, 2019 · fiona gledhillGreat for families with little ones. Their staff is friendly and the camp offers: $4 showers, a play structure, mist station, clean porta potties, bubbles, water bottle fill stations with cool water, dish washing station, a food cart, yoga, and more. The price ($210 for 3 nights) is pretty steep, but the experience you get in camp makes up for it. 😘
