Versatile Accommodation Options: The availability of RV sites, tent sites, and fully equipped cabins caters to a broad spectrum of campers, from rugged outdoors enthusiasts to those seeking more creature comforts.
Access to Outdoor Activities: Beyond river activities, the area is rich with opportunities for hiking (with a hiking trail adjacent to the campground), fishing, and general exploration of the Ozark Mountains. Locally made walking sticks and canes are even available for hikers.
Seasonal and Year-Round Options: While some specific services or activities might be seasonal, the campground is open year-round for RV and tent camping, allowing for varied experiences throughout the seasons.

Gilbert RV Campground & Cabins Reviews
We have stayed at this location a few times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a very nice gentleman who was friendly and helpful. This last time, I have been in contact with a woman. I called a couple of times where the phone was answered then I was hung up on before anyone answered. Then, we were running a bit late on arrival time due to work, had paid our deposit but couldn't physically get there until about 7:30. We drive our Class A frequently and competently. We didn't need help setting up and knew the rules of the site. We are an older couple and quiet/respectful of our neighbor campers but were told we could not come in after 7:00 and set up, no questions. Were told we were welcome to drive up the next day. Had to cancel and lose my deposit and took a day off work (mandatory 3 day stay) for nothing. She was borderline rude and unstmpathetic and ruined my whole weekend. I won't be back and will steer all of my RVing friends away as well. So disappointed.

Nov 09, 2024 · chloe bingMy wife and I had a wonderful stay at Gilbert RV Campground. We arrived in the rain and the owner (Jim) helped direct me while backing into our site. We enjoyed many conversations with Jim during our stay. Also enjoyed watching his dogs ride with him on the golf cart and herd the chickens every evening.Very accommodating and always making sure we had everything we needed. Gave us directions and information to local attractions.Location is great. Short walk to river outfitter and Buffalo River. If we ever visit the area again, we will definitely stay there again.
