For many Pennsylvanians, the call of the great outdoors is a familiar siren, especially as the seasons turn and the opportunity for camping arises. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Millville, PA, Fire Pit Campground, LLC presents itself as one such option. However, like any community or vacation destination, it offers a distinct experience shaped by its unique character and resident base.
Fire Pit Campground, LLC, located at 119 Eyersgrove Rd, Millville, PA, operates as a campground that primarily caters to seasonal campers. This means a significant portion of its community consists of individuals and families who rent sites for the entire camping season, fostering a long-term, established atmosphere. While it does offer "weekender" sites for shorter stays, understanding this primary demographic is crucial for prospective visitors, as it heavily influences the social dynamics and overall feel of the park.
Public reviews for Fire Pit Campground, LLC offer a varied perspective. Some long-term members express immense satisfaction, describing it as "a great place to unwind during the weekend with some pretty remarkable people and staff," praising the "live bands, djs, karaoke, and lip syncing," and a plethora of activities like "horseshoe and corn hole tournaments plus group activities for kids and adults." This paints a picture of a vibrant, active community for those who are integrated into its seasonal rhythm. However, other reviews from transient visitors paint a starkly different scene, highlighting challenges with the social environment, perceiving seasonal campers as "rude" and unwelcoming, and noting issues with site maintenance and overall atmosphere. These contrasting viewpoints underscore the importance of aligning your expectations with the park's primary focus and culture.

Features / Highlights
Fire Pit Campground, LLC, presents a unique set of features and highlights that cater to a specific type of camping experience, particularly for those integrated into its seasonal community.
- Dominant Seasonal Community: This is perhaps the most defining feature. The campground is described as being "ALL seasonals" with only a few weekend sites. This creates a very established, almost neighborhood-like atmosphere among the long-term campers. For new seasonal campers, this can mean joining a pre-existing social fabric.
- Abundant Activities and Entertainment: For those who are part of the active seasonal community, the campground offers a vibrant schedule of events. Reviews highlight "Live bands, djs, karaoke, and lip syncing," along with "horseshoe and corn hole tournaments plus group activities for kids and adults." This indicates a strong emphasis on social gatherings and organized fun, which is a major draw for its regular attendees.
- Family-Friendly Amenities: The campground provides a playground for children, a dog park for pets ("fur babies"), and a pavilion that can be rented for private gatherings. These amenities support a family-friendly environment and provide spaces for relaxation and recreation.
- On-Site Recreation: Beyond organized events, the campground boasts two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, offering a tranquil activity for all ages. A creek runs through the heart of the campground, allowing for tubing. There are also wooded trails for hiking or for riding golf carts/side-by-sides (with rentals available for those without their own), providing opportunities to explore nature.
- Unique Recreational Additions: The campground includes a Mini Golf course, a Dirt RC Track, a Sand Volleyball court, and a Gaga Pit, adding a diverse range of recreational options not found at every campground. "Fire Truck Rides / Hayrides" are also listed as an activity, contributing to a fun, family-oriented atmosphere.
- Convenient Location for Local Attractions: While offering ample on-site activities, Fire Pit Campground is also well-situated near popular Pennsylvania attractions. It's approximately 28 minutes from Knoebels Amusement Resort, known as "America's Largest Free Admission Amusement Park," offering rides, a water park, and entertainment. Additionally, the Little Fishing Creek Swimming Pool is just 6 minutes away, providing an off-site swimming option. Ricketts Glen State Park, famous for its waterfalls and hiking trails, is also within reach.
- Owner Involvement: Positive reviews mention the "owners are very friendly and welcoming," suggesting a hands-on approach to management, at least from the initial booking perspective.
Promotions or Special Offers
Based on the publicly available information, including their website, Fire Pit Campground, LLC, does not prominently advertise typical short-term "promotions" or "special offers" in the way some businesses might. Their marketing seems to focus on the overall experience and amenities rather than temporary discounts for new weekend campers.
However, for their primary target audience—seasonal campers—there are indications of structured financial arrangements and potential "discounts" that are built into the long-term commitment:
- Seasonal Agreements and Payment Plans: The campground's website has a dedicated "Seasonal Campers" section with downloadable documents like a "2025 Seasonal Agreement," "2025 Agreement Terms," and a "2025 Payment Plan Contract." This suggests that committing to a full season may come with a structured pricing plan and potentially a cost-effective rate compared to booking numerous short-term stays throughout the year. The provision of "2025 Camper Discounts (pdf)" as a downloadable document also points to potential savings for seasonal members, which would be specific to their long-term commitment.
- Online Payment Options: While not a promotion, the availability of quick online payment options for various amounts ($50, $100, $200, $500, $1000) for seasonal campers, albeit with a 4% card processing fee, indicates a streamlined process for managing seasonal accounts.
For weekend campers, information regarding any specific promotions is not readily apparent in the provided data. The pricing structure for weekend RV sites and tent sites is generally fixed (e.g., $20.00 to $40.00 depending on the site, potentially $40 for tent sites, and higher for full hookup RV sites). Any potential "special offers" for weekenders would likely be communicated directly upon inquiry or during the booking process, if they exist at all. Given the expressed preference for seasonal campers, it is less likely that aggressive promotions would be aimed at transient visitors.
Prospective campers, particularly those interested in seasonal arrangements, should download and review the available documents on the Fire Pit Campground website or contact them directly to inquire about current pricing, seasonal rates, and any applicable long-term discounts or payment plans.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For Pennsylvania locals, Fire Pit Campground, LLC in Millville presents a unique camping opportunity, though its suitability largely depends on individual preferences and expectations. This campground is particularly well-suited for those looking for a long-term, community-centric camping experience, especially seasonal campers who are seeking a consistent home-away-from-home throughout the warmer months.
Firstly, its strong emphasis on seasonal camping fosters a deeply established community. For Pennsylvanians who value familiarity, routine, and building relationships with fellow campers over an extended period, Fire Pit Campground offers an ideal environment. The presence of numerous activities like live bands, DJ events, karaoke, and various tournaments truly creates a vibrant social hub, as attested by long-term members. This rich calendar of events provides a ready-made social life and entertainment right at your campsite, eliminating the need to constantly seek out external activities. For families seeking a consistent summer retreat where children can make lasting friendships and adults can unwind in a familiar setting, this aspect is a significant draw.
Secondly, the comprehensive range of amenities available on-site, including full hookup RV sites, a bathhouse, laundry facilities, a store, fishing ponds, a creek for tubing, a playground, dog park, and various sports courts (mini golf, sand volleyball, RC track), ensures that campers have plenty to do without ever leaving the grounds. This self-contained recreational environment is highly convenient for locals who want to maximize their relaxation time without extensive travel during their camping weekends or seasonal stays. The availability of amenities like golf cart rentals and wooded trails further enhances the leisure options.
Moreover, Fire Pit Campground's location in Millville, PA, provides easy access to some of Central Pennsylvania's most cherished attractions. Being a short drive from Knoebels Amusement Resort offers an exciting day trip option for families, while nearby Ricketts Glen State Park provides stunning hiking opportunities with its famous waterfalls. This blend of on-site entertainment and proximity to regional highlights ensures that there are always options for diverse interests, making it an attractive base for exploring the local area.
However, prospective weekend campers from Pennsylvania should be aware of the primarily seasonal demographic. As some reviews indicate, the established nature of the seasonal community might lead to a less integrated experience for short-term visitors. Those looking for a quiet, secluded, or highly interactive experience with diverse transient campers might find the dynamics different from what they expect. Conversely, locals considering a seasonal commitment would likely find themselves welcomed into a vibrant, activity-rich community.
In summary, Fire Pit Campground, LLC, is particularly suitable for Pennsylvania locals seeking a consistent, amenity-rich, and socially active camping experience, especially if they are considering a seasonal site. It offers a unique opportunity to become part of an established community and enjoy a wealth of on-site activities and convenient access to regional attractions, making it a compelling choice for a specific segment of the local camping population.

Fire Pit Campground, LLC Reviews
Unless you know someone in this trailer park, my recommendation is DONT…owners are very friendly and welcoming, the seasonal’s (and it is ALL seasonals) are NOT. Did not realize that when we booked. Rude, actually stared at us all weekend, no smiles, no waves, nothing. We are very friendly people and waved and smiled and just got stared at in return. People actually drove past us just STARING. Loud, kids cursing (no wonder based on the adult behavior we saw there) Actually yelled at us as we were leaving😳 Find somewhere else. It’s ghetto. We felt like we were in some Stephen King novel🤣 just WEIRD. Served our purpose with full hook up and close to friends we were visiting for the weekend but wouldn’t EVER do it again. Thankfully we were running around all weekend and basically only there to sleep. I believe their slogan is not wanting to pull out, we couldn’t wait to pull out. We camp ALOT and love the mountains and would NEVER go here again. They should just turn the “weekender” sites into another seasonal and be done with it.Reading some reviews that this place was “the best”, they must not get around much to have higher expectations. First clue was the grass growing in the fire pits in the weekend sites and the fact that we were told to pick any one of them because no one else was staying there. Geee wonder why
Jul 29, 2024 · Christine EisenhartA great place to unwind during the weekend with some pretty remarkable people and staff. Live bands, djs, karaoke, and lip syncing for those who cannot sing. Lots of horseshoe and corn hole tournaments plus group activities for kids and adults. Been a member for 11 years. Just a slice of Heaven.
Oct 12, 2022 · Gene-O-MacI love this place . All family members enjoy it. Reasonable price . Easy goin you can have FUN here .. not like a 60 & over old folk home. Loud music , drinking, good ol'safe fun. How it is suppose to be whe camping. Showers & bathroom were always clean when I used the facilities. Small store on site for certain needs... creek to splash in on a hot humid day or night . On a good clear night awesome view of the sky, stars & all. Yet all the while still close to two towns if needs cant be filled at the on site small store. Thanks guys for the great experience each tyme there. Highly recommend for the avid family camping experience.
