Erie KOA Holiday Reviews
Typical of a private campground. Lots of rules, but rightly so to make it comfortable for all. We were forced to remove our own firewood first night. Understand why, but we forgot to buy the wood ahead of time and the store was never open during the week. The firewood was a main issue because the wood they provided burned fast and we were the only people cooking on an open fire. Cost a fortune to make a meal. Campground was impeccably clean and maintained. After 4 days we were finally given extra wood. As a business owner, I completely understand the need for strict rules and appreciated the quiet and clean environment. Overall, one of the better KOA I have been to, but prefer state camps. I certainly was glad that there were no loud party people. We had out of state guests and paid a fortune for them and their parking, but the price per night and cancellation policies were worth it. I actually liked the owners. Extremely hard working, this cannot possibly be an easy living.

The pond was very relaxing and we loved sitting on the benches provided.. just watching the fountain.... It was great that the pool was heated... It was wonderful sitting and relaxing at the pool after a long drive. The site was just perfect....
Jun 07, 2025 · Arlene BarnardWe traveled across country from AZ to the east coast. KOA Erie was by far the best campground we stayed at. It was clean, they had entertainment for the kids, a fishing pond, and many other amenities. On the return trip I will look to stay here again if it fits into my schedule. I don’t think you would be disappointed with this campground.
Jun 15, 2025 · Turk5700After reading some reviews here, I went to this campground with some hesitation, but everything went just fine for us. I loved our campsite! It had a grill that was clean and usable, and the site itself was roomy without feeling like you are packed in. Some of the things that some people complained about (picking up firewood in the woods or riding bikes on grass), are things that are universal to all campgrounds. Behave yourself and things should go amazingly well…as it did for us. Wonderful stay. Wonderful weekend.
May 14, 2025 · L HThis was my worst KOA experience. The park is under new ownership and the owners stalk the few patrons that were in the RV park. They run this KOA like a prison with strictly enforced rules and numerous fees. We stayed here for a funeral. We arrived early in the morning and the management covered all the rules and fees. I paid the fees for my family of four and their car to visit, but that first night the owners wife who patrols the ground at night told me that I cannot sit outside after 10pm and there is no external electronic devices. I told her I was the only RV and the TV was muted, but was told if I didn’t do as she said, the police would be called. At 62 I went to bed. The next morning, I was informed by the owner, who stalks you in his gator and watches the numerous cameras that I could have no guests at my RV site because I was argumentative with his wife. I argued and got my visitation fees refunded and told him I was leaving. He smugly said your leaving and there are no refunds. Before you stay here, read the reviews, if I had I would have never come.
