Elk Country RV Resort & Campground Reviews
Nice spot at the south end of Redwoods National and State Parks. The campground offers large spaces with plenty of room. The setting is great and the Elk passed through a few times on our stay. We stayed at a site with 30 amp, water, and sewer. Basic amenities like shower & laundry are on site but unsure of cost or quality as we did not use on our stay. Areas for improvement: the campground is on the dated end of its lifecycle, it could use a few updates and upgrades. They charge for extra vehicles ‘due to limited space’, however they have plenty of space both in the lot and at sites. Overall, we would recommend but would likely try out a different campground if we returned to Redwoods.
Jun 30, 2025 · Christopher LongWe loved it here so much that we extended our stay twice. We enjoyed the serenity and lush forest. The little lake is beautiful with a small trickling waterfall running to it. The grounds are breathtaking. The staff in the office was amazing to us. We live full time on the road out of our converted school bus, and we were nervous about staying in a campground, but they made us feel right at home. We even had to have some packages delivered and they brought them out to our site to give them to us. We did get to see a huge heard of elk almost every day that we were there, it was such a treat! Needless to say, we will definitely be back in the future!
May 25, 2025 · Megan MillerThis is a good campground with big camp spots. The spots are level with good water pressure and sewer. The disappointment was the bathrooms . Housekeeping could have better and the showers were coin operated which was a downfall at 65 dollar rv spots. There was more hooks to hang yous things or bench to set anything. The water never got hot and the water pressure was poor. The good part of our stay was there were elk roaming around the campground that made it worthwhile.
Jun 28, 2025 · Ron HartThis was our favorite stop on our road trip. We stayed 2 days and wish we could have stayed more. The property is absolutely beautiful. So well maintained and just a really nice property. Office manager was great and helpful. The lake on the property was so peaceful. We saw a big herd of elk at about 6am. Pretty level spots, decent amount of room between spots too. Laundry room and bathrooms were clean and everything worked. They were dog friendly. Close to the Redwoods, fern canton and more
Jun 14, 2025 · Jennifer OwenI remember this place in the 80's when it was redwood trails. There was a arcade and a big screen TV with the colored bulbs for picture. It was very difficult for us kids to get in a station. There was a mall pond we fished out of. Nice bike ride to the beach. Water is so cold. It was absolutely great memories as a kid. Hope nothing changed
