4.0
This is a perfect small campground for tents. We stayed for three nights and loved it. The camp sites are big enough for two.The restroom is clean but you have to go to Pickerel campground for showers. It’s just 5-8 minutes of walk.If you are looking for a quiet and green campground, this is the one. We didn’t see any rattle snakes but the signboard says there are. - Denzi Yishey (Travel_with_Tenzin)

Deerfield Campground Introduce

For Pennsylvanians who truly appreciate the essence of traditional camping—the rustle of leaves, the scent of pine, and the quiet crackle of a campfire—Deerfield Campground in Greentown, PA, offers an ideal escape. Nestled within the beautiful Promised Land State Park, Deerfield provides a more rustic and intimate camping experience, specifically catering to tent campers seeking tranquility and a deeper connection with nature. It’s a perfect spot for those looking to unplug and immerse themselves in the serene beauty of the Pocono Mountains, without the constant hum of RV generators or the extensive amenities of more developed campgrounds.

Deerfield Campground is designed for the purist camper. Its charm lies in its simplicity and natural setting, focusing on providing a peaceful environment where the focus is on the outdoors. Unlike larger, more amenity-rich campgrounds, Deerfield prioritizes a quiet, green atmosphere, allowing visitors to truly decompress and enjoy the natural surroundings. It’s an excellent choice for individuals, couples, or small families who find joy in pitching a tent, exploring trails, and experiencing the genuine tranquility that a state park environment can offer. For the most accurate and current pricing, availability, and reservation details, prospective campers should always consult the official Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system. Any specific state-wide initiatives or programs that might offer a form of discount would be announced through the DCNR's official channels.
