Deerfield Campground Reviews
This is a perfect small campground for tents. We stayed for three nights and loved it. The camp sites are big enough for two.The restroom is clean but you have to go to Pickerel campground for showers. It’s just 5-8 minutes of walk.If you are looking for a quiet and green campground, this is the one. We didn’t see any rattle snakes but the signboard says there are.
Aug 06, 2022 · Denzi Yishey (Travel_with_Tenzin)The good:Had a nice corner spot by the restroom — tucked in the trees for privacy and gave us good covering from the rain. The bad:Our site was mostly gravel, which made it hard to find a good spot to pitch our 4p Kelty tent. The restroom at Deerfield does not include showers. You have to walk all the way to Pickerel to use the showers. Walk is about 7min, but we weren’t informed of this upon booking/checking in.Our restrooms were decent- a little dirty. Women’s stall ran out of toilet paper , and had no hot water all weekend.Beach at Pickerel Point is so-so— nice water, but parking was super limited (4 public spots?). Majority of families had to walk quite a bit to get to the beach on a summer Saturday in July. Beach bathrooms don’t have showers or outdoor showers to rinse off.
Jul 24, 2023 · J TNice campground; smallish sites, clean bathrooms & showers. Bears are rather bold - keep all food secured, and dispose of garbage each night. Rangers run a relatively tight ship - take note of the "No Alcohol Permitted" signs at all campground entrances.
