Dam Site Campground Reviews
If I could leave zero stars i would, but unfortunately that's not an option. 1)Please read the fine print! Only a few of the sites actually have water hook ups! Normally this wouldn't be a big deal to us, but the bathrooms here are absolutely rancid smelling and full of spiders and bugs. Honestly, some of the worst I've seen. 2) claims to be pet friendly, but there seems to be no designated area for your pet to play or swim and the older lady that runs the place is a tyrant. She is one of the rudest human beings I've ever come into contact with! She almost didn't let my husband through the gate, despite the park pass hanging on his mirror because " she didnt think he was staying there" she patrols the place like border control so be aware! She basically ruined our entire trip and we will not ever be back. We saw her getting on to several people throughout a 4 day stay, and literally no one was doing ANYTHING wrong! I used to come camping here as a kid and I wanted to bring my family to enjoy it and we rarely came out to do anything at all! Wasted trip and days off.
Jun 09, 2025 · Elisha CollinsWas wonderful as usual! The only thing that keeps me from leaving 5 stars (I would have left 4.5 but that wasn't an option) is the bathroom was out of toilet paper most of the weekend. Luckily we brought some so wasn't a disaster oranything. But the campsites aren't on top of each other and our view was amazing.
Oct 06, 2024 · Rachel WilliamsWe camp in K-primitive at $18 per night. It's the section closest to the dam so you hear every car that crosses the Bridge over Dam. If you want water you have to drive to a different section or carry it from home.... I love primitive camping and have no problems with vault toilets but if they want to charge $18 the least they could do is install a water spicit beside the value toilet for K-section to get water.... This was definitely not worth $18 a night... I rate Greers ferry Dam site Section K worth only $12 at best because of Noise disturbance of bridge and lack of water close by for dishes and such.
Jul 06, 2025 · MelanieSo beautiful!! Love it here. Really enjoyed our spot "H35" it was shaded all day with just small areas that sun came through. My Vehicle was also in the shade. A few squirrels playing and coming up to visit in the mornings. So many birds to listen to and watch. The water was flooded so we didn't swim but there is a nice area back there to enjoy the water. We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we could have. Just a quick getaway. You don't want to miss this State park. There are every kind of camping from pull through spots for large RV's to tent with no water or electric. Oh, the showers were clean and worked as they should but watch the benches they are rusted metal that should have been replaced a few years ago by the looks of them.
May 13, 2022 · Annette VThe campgrounds are spacious, well maintained, and a great spot to camp. The restrooms and showers on site are clean and well maintained. The marina is wonderful and the staff at "The Dam Store" are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to insure your time there is pleasant and enjoyable. One of my favorite places to visit. Highly recommend for a stress free, relaxing experience.
