Country Line Creek Campground

540 NC-57, Milton, NC 27305, USA

4.0
Great up and coming campground! David was able to work us in before opening. It's still under construction, but lots of potential here. With water and electrical hookups, as well as fairly level spots, we were able to find a nice quiet place to camp with the kids while we attended hyperfest at Virginia international raceway. David was super attentive and helpful the whole weekend. Their is a nice short trail in the woods, a creek to check out, and plenty of revolutionary war history here with cannonballs found on site. - James “Jim” Webb

Services Offered

As an "up and coming campground" that is "still under construction," Country Line Creek Campground is continuously developing its services, but already offers key amenities for a comfortable stay.

  • RV and Tent Sites: The campground accommodates both RVs and tent camping. Sites are described as "fairly level spots" with "plenty of good flat tent spots for small and large tent needs." Some reports indicate a primary focus on "mostly longer term campers living there," but it also welcomes short-term guests.
  • Water and Electrical Hookups: Many sites are equipped with "water and electrical hookups." As of Spring 2023, the goal was to have electrical hook-ups on all sites, a significant improvement for RVers. Potable water is also available.
  • Sewer Hookups & Portable Tank Service: While not all sites may have direct sewer hookups (one review noted "No sewer where we were up front"), the owner, David, makes efforts to provide solutions, including taking "care of us portable tank" and assisting friends with large rigs to "drive their large rig down to another spot to empty." This demonstrates a commitment to meeting guest needs for waste disposal.
  • Restrooms and Showers: While a traditional "bathhouse" might still be in the works or not universally visible, individual "showers with hot water on the camp ground" are available. One reviewer specifically praised an "outdoor shower was actually pretty great, had hot water... and decent water pressure." A porta-potty was also noted as being "close enough to the camp but not so close you could smell it."
  • On-site Trails and Creek Access: The campground features a "nice short trail in the woods" and "a creek to check out," providing immediate natural exploration opportunities.
  • Fire Pits: Fire rings are available at sites, with some looking "nice" and working "great."
  • Owner/Host Attentiveness: Owner David is frequently highlighted for being "super attentive and helpful the whole weekend," "a fantastic camp host," and going "EXTREMELY far out of their way to make sure we had water, power, & even transportation!" This level of personal service is a key offering.
  • Group Camping: The campground has the capacity to "accommodate group camping with our 25 spot loop on Racetrack Road."
  • General Store/Jewelry Stand: There's a "general store and jewelry stand they have really close to camp for shopping needs," offering convenient access to essentials.
  • WiFi: Although service can be "hard to reach," the owner has provided Wi-Fi access, demonstrating an effort to keep campers connected.

  • Historical Significance and Exploration: The campground is situated on land with "plenty of revolutionary war history here with cannonballs found on site." This unique historical element adds an intriguing layer to the camping experience, inviting guests to explore and connect with the past on a "nice short trail in the woods" along the creek.
  • Quiet and Peaceful Potential: While located near a road, campers note that it can be "a nice quiet place to camp with the kids." Despite being "near the road on an event weekend," running an air conditioner made it "fine," suggesting that under normal circumstances, it offers a tranquil setting. This makes it appealing for those seeking a relaxing natural escape.
  • Developing Amenities and Future Potential: The campground is openly "still under construction," but this also means it has "lots of potential." The ongoing improvements, such as the plan to build bathhouses and ensure electrical hookups on all sites, indicate a dedication to enhancing guest comfort in the future. This "up and coming" status means visitors can witness and be part of its growth.
  • Flexibility in Site Offerings: With both water and electrical hookups, fairly level spots, and accommodation for RVs and tents, the campground offers flexibility. Its ability to "accommodate group camping with our 25 spot loop" further expands its utility for larger gatherings.
  • Community-Focused Events (Event Weekends): During major event weekends, the owner has gone so far as to bring in "food trucks and vendors at the campground" and even "hooking campers up with free live music."
