★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The most precious camps at this campground tucked in the woods, peaceful, friendly, and clean!! Close to a store with food and supplies available for your camping needs. Dog friendly, and kid friendly. I have to say they were so welcoming and kind, I recommend staying in one of these cabins! They had enough cabins for our Jeep club to all stay and a charming specious pavilion with a large mounted television playing music, a fireplace, and comfy outdoor furniture for us to all gather with plenty of room. They even lit the tiki torches and fireplace for us just before our arrival! Those extra touches to make you feel welcome is a good reason to go back and stay again and again. Exactly what I needed to unwind and refresh from day to day hustle and bustle.
May 21 · Susanne PelletierWe stayed in a back-in RV site at the beginning of the 2025 season. The drive - thru spaces seemed to be in the middle of the camp. There is space - not a lot of trees - between pull-thru spaces. But I want to emphasize this next point. Many of the back-in spaces and tent camping sites offer a rather high degree of privacy. It is entirely likely that you will not SEE the next campsite/campers. The vibe is "wooded."I want to also emphasize that the bathrooms are uncommonly clean and private. Not to oversell it, but it was rather luxurious compared to most of our experiences. And then we have nothing but the kindest words for camp host Justin and proprietor Shirley. They were really wonderful to engage with and helpful. It was a wonderful stay, and we will be back!
May 11 · Bill GarrisSuper clean bathrooms great host .. smack dab in the middle of the trail system . Big sites gas station right across the street, perfect place to go camping. To ride the down the sunrise trail.
June 10 · Tyler BrownThe owners are what really make this campground stand out from the rest. Shirley will do whatever it takes to make you happy and accommodate you. Not to mention all the attention to each camper to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. The campground has direct access to the popular multi-use 80 mile Downeast trail, traversing through this part of Maine. It's close to Acadia National Park, close to the Eaternmost point of the United States, and close to Canada. The town itself is quaint and quiet. No Walmart within an hour so if that's a deal killer this may not be the place for you. I can get my Walmart stuff delivered so I'm okay with it, to be able to stay where they care about their visitors.
May 28 · Andrew SandsWe stayed in one of the Sister Cabins over the weekend. It was an extremely clean, comfortable, spacious cabin. Campground seemed very well taken care of. Shirley was very friendly, and helpful. Fire pit was nice also, with wood to purchase on site. Cabin was decorated for Halloween, which I thought was a nice touch. Easy access to the DEST, the Balsam Tip land, the Blueberry Barrens etc. Kitchen area had a full size refrigerator, 2 burner hot plate, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, utensils etc. Definitely plan to go back, and stay longer next time.
