★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nice campground. Quite a few sites next to Lake. Saw many deer. Easy access to lake for bank fishing. Did not catch anything but also did not try hard. Temp was 97 with a heat index of 107. Would stay here again when not so hot!
July 25 · Jimbo MBeautiful relaxing spot right on the lake. Lots of birdwatchin. Plentyof shade. Very quiet, only heard crickets at night and birds in the morning. Dump available at the gate.
April 14 · Karin BoeckStopped for the night on the way to Indiana. I am pleasantly impressed with the beautiful trees and lake. Highly recommend this spot.
May 06 · Beatrice CWe opted for a water view site rather than a full hook-up site; full hook-up sites were in the trees. Nice, but not on the water. We had a nice back-in site with a full side view of the water. Nice afternoon shade too. Mostly quiet except some kids jet skiing out in front of us (they were camping nearby). And a few campfire talkers on the weekend up beyond quiet hours. There were a couple hiking trails, but it was cooler walking through the campground closer to the water. Our campsite, B-12, was fairly level.
May 20 · Susan SchwadererGreat as usual. Park has had some upgrades for campers. Very clean, lots of sites, some with sewer hookups. Lakefront sites, trees, paved sites & streets, wildlife. Very large lake but still quiet with low traffic. Another plus is that it is in the ‘country’, yet within a few miles of everything the city has to offer.
