Charleston KOA Holiday Reviews
We did a short stay (Monday- Thursday). We splurged for the patio site. It was a cute site with all we would need. Firewood was decent (not drift wood). The pool was nice (very warm since it was a 100 degrees outside), loved it had a deep end! Would stay again. Still a bit pricey, but better than others we looked at with similar amenities. We stayed to enjoy the Charleston area and it worked out well for us. (Hubby, me our 15 yr old).
Jun 27, 2025 · Kathie ZullingerI was a bit apprehensive about this KOA because of some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised! The sites for the bigger rigs are largely not shaded but the area for smaller rigs is wonderful! Lots of trees and shade. Great location and only 2.5 hrs from CLT. Would not hesitate to come back. The staff is wonderful and they have birds in the office.
Jun 29, 2025 · Tori ZIt's a reasonable distance from a lot of things in Charleston. It's not a fancy place, nor is it new, it's a serving place to stay if your visiting the area. Office staff is personable friendly and helpful.. did are in good condition for the age of the place, staff takes care of it nicely. It's just not a 5 star resort.. but it's certainly not a dump either!!
May 17, 2025 · Richard KlingbergWe had read some negative reviews about Charleston KOA before we arrived so our expectations were low; however, we were very pleasantly surprised! There is a trailer park next to the campground that looks pretty shabby, but it is not part of the campground and, in fact, you can’t see it from the campground. The staff is friendly and helpful, the campground itself is neat, clean and well maintained. We will definitely return when we are in the Charleston area.
Mar 21, 2025 · Debbie MarkwoodI am a KOA member and have stayed at so many KOA‘s all around the country. This was the absolute worst one ever. There is the worst neighborhood right behind it. I got my E bike stolen right in front of my RV when I went inside. It is a horrible rundown neighborhood and they know that they have people that come over and steal from their patrons (regularly !) yet they have no video surveillance and basically just gave me a number for a police officer to file a report. Did absolutely nothing about it. Once I saw the next-door Situation, I was appalled that they did not warn me. I had no idea because I came in later in the day that they were surrounded by SUCH a horrible neighborhood. I definitely would stay anywhere else but here. I heard good things about the KOA across on the other side of town. Everyone in this area, which I am not from knows about how terrible this KOA is. Be warned!
