Charest Cove - Members Only is idyllically located at 267 Plymouth Rock Rd, Laceys Spring, AL 35754, USA. Laceys Spring itself is a charming, unincorporated community nestled in Morgan County, within North Alabama. This strategic location places the campground along a beautiful stretch of river (likely the Tennessee River or one of its tributaries, given the local geography and descriptions of sunsets on the river), offering stunning views and direct water access.
For Alabamians, reaching Charest Cove is relatively straightforward. Laceys Spring is accessible via major state highways, making it a convenient drive from larger population centers like Huntsville, Decatur, and even Birmingham. While the specific road to the campground, Plymouth Rock Road, might lead you into a quieter, more rural setting, this contributes to the overall sense of seclusion and escape that is a hallmark of Charest Cove. Visitors have noted the ease of access, indicating that even without specific driving instructions, navigating to the location is not a challenge.
One of the key advantages of its location, as highlighted by a satisfied visitor, is the balance between feeling "away from the rest of the world" and being "not too far away" from essential amenities. This means that while you can fully immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the tranquility, you're not entirely isolated. Should you forget an item or need to resupply, local stores in Laceys Spring or nearby communities are within a reasonable driving distance, adding a layer of convenience to this otherwise secluded retreat.
Furthermore, being in North Alabama places Charest Cove within proximity to a wealth of other outdoor recreational opportunities and attractions. Charest Cove - Members Only Reviews
5 big glittering, golden stars. This really was THE best camping spot I have ever been to (with ease of access). This privately-owned slice of Heaven is definitely going on my repeat list. With that being said, I need to admit that my first experience here was a singular one: NO ONE ELSE WAS ON THE GROUNDS! We took the middle fire pit and that left two, but I’m not sure how many total tent sites are considered to be here. We had the entire place to ourselves. And the weather was perfection. I don’t know how we got so lucky. The owner was fantastic, with quick, thorough responses. It is immediately evident that the grounds are not just cared-for, but loved. Also, and maybe not least important, the port-a-Jon is very well-maintained.Next time I come I’m bringing a fishing pole and my SLR with low-light lens.
Jun 04, 2022 · Julie CrewsThe owner was very nice and friendly as well as helpful. Any questions I had were answered. The campground is very well maintained, peaceful, and a beautiful setting for quality time outdoors with family. My children, partner, and I all enjoyed the sunsets on the river, fishing, and being able to view the stars with out city lights. You truly feel as though you are away from the rest of the world, but in reality stores are not too far away if you find you forgot something and need to make a trip (learned from my own experience). If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to camp and wish without the over-crowding of some area campgrounds, this is absolutely the place you should visit.
Oct 06, 2022 · Anita ChargualafGorgeous campground with a stunning view! Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed swimming in the river and watching the sunset. The spots are very spacious and our neighbors were quiet and friendly. The porta John was the cleanest I’d ever seen.
Jun 19, 2023 · Kate LongDiscovered this amazing camping spot. Beautiful sunsets by the river. We had the whole location to ourselves and my dog loved being able to run around here and go for a swim. There are lots of solor lights placed around the 3 camping sites along with fire pits and even a portapotty. Picnic benches and 2 wooden swings to sit on. Lots of fishing spots so bring your poles.
Sep 09, 2021 · Kat ParsonsBy far the most peaceful place my husband and I have camped, was the best nights sleep I have had in years. Clean and very well maintained, far surpassed any of our expectations. We will definitely be back!!!!!
