CanyonSide Campground Reviews
Booked a cabin through Air BnB and had a great one night stay. June was very kind and welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the cabin and surrounding area.
Jun 30, 2025 · Anna Leigh PeekWe rented an RV spot with full hookups which was great. We were greeted by the owner with fresh baked cookies when we pulled in and her camp host was nice and helpful also. The actual rv spot was a disappointment though. No individual campfire rings, only a communal one near by. Another rv was parked so their outdoor area looked directly at us and we felt like we were being watched all night. They just opened for the season so I imagine they will be making improvements but as it is right now I wish we would have booked somewhere else. With all that said I wish the new owner nothing but the best.
May 26, 2025 · Sandra ShimakStayed here for 3 nights at the end of July 2022. This was during my cross country van trip. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our time here. The owner June was so friendly and down to earth, she introduced us to the gentleman who work there. They too were super nice, they came over and talked with us for quite some time and by the end of the night we were playing with their dog. The first night it was just us, and then some others showed up and everyone else too seemed to enjoy their time. It’s located in such a beautiful place and they have an amazing venue there as well. Can’t wait to come back!
Jan 02, 2023 · Pat RoellA group of five of us stayed in cabin 5 for five days at the end of August, 2021. We had a wonderful stay. June, the owner was very personable and was very helpful the entire stay. She knew the area, gave us shortcuts to take, fishing spots, and hiking suggestions. I spoke with her several times on the phone before our stay. She was always very nice and helpful. Cabin 5 was just what we were looking for as a group. There was a nice deck to enjoy. It was very clean when we arrived.
Sep 13, 2021 · JERRY NOLENWe would give this place five stars, as it is quite beautiful. Lots of hiking and beautiful views. The manager was nice, and pointed out some.good hiking trails. However, I reserved a tent site for three of my kids. I paid 88 dollars. The girls both 19 are nature enthusiasts, one even taught rock climbing for summer camp and we sent our 16 year old son just to have a tall strong guy around for added safety and he also loves the outdoors. When the kids returned I got a surprise 41 dollar additional charge on my card. When I spoke with the manager, she said it is 20 dollars per person per night and that we only paid for 2 people. Ouch! So for a tent, that they put up it cost 129 dollars for 2 nights. Originally they were going to get a room, so they could hike all day and then relax with all the amenities at night, but wanted to stay less expensive. When it was all said and done, they could have gotten the room. Last summer, We paid 60 a night at a super nice KOA with 2 pools, a waterslide, volleyball court, flushing toilets and showers, for our entire family we are a big family too. Thank goodness we didn't all decide to go. ❤️😭
