Canyon Creek Resort Reviews
This facility doesn’t follow their posted guidelines about no loud noise after 11:00. This is supposed to be a family place but this is not all what I expected when they talked us into a membership. This is no different than your every day run of the mill free for all where large groups party, yell, and play loud music until they want to stop. EXACTLY what we wanted to get away from by coming here. Two nights in a row. EXTREMELY disappointed with the staff here. There’s a night security guard but I have no idea what they do,
Jun 15, 2025 · Shannon CarrithersSave your money. This place will rip you off. They give you an uneven slope to pitch a tent. You can't park near your tent. You have to unload and park up top. No water, no table, no electric, no soap in the hand dispenser in the roach infested bathroom, no BBQ on property, no fire pit, the pool has so much chlorine it burns my kids eyes all for $69 to members or $100 to the public for each tent each night. The second night my son-in-law was locked out of the bathroom that was open the night before. Did I mention the tent sites are all in the sun. No shade in 100 degrees weather. The office personnel change the rules at will. The website says 2 tents per site but they don't allow you to rent the RV site without a plug in camper/RV. If you have guests you are very limited. They don't honor what they advertise. They told us the lake would be too populated by 11am and there are snakes down river, so we should stay at the resort and enjoy the pool. There is another camp ground 10 minutes down the road for half the price with an actual camp site for 2 tents and 2 cars. So that's the difference of $90 to this place $276 or $396 depending on membership and you have a grill, camp fire, table, water near a swimming spot ect. My family made the best of it. I went home with heat exhaustion and was still charged for the night I wasn't there. I will do more research before camping in the future. This experience almost made me give it up entirely.I rarely write reviews but people should know what they are getting into.
Jul 01, 2025 · Amy RUDNICKWe became members after hearing them continuously tell us, there's always a spot for members. We stayed a few times with the kids and had a great time. The last time we stayed, the people next to us went to bed at an usually early time on a Friday night and started yelling at one of our kids because she was crying at 7pm. Quiet time was 10pm. Another time we tried to go and they said they were full, but i thought you said there was always a spot for members. Guess that was a lie to get our money. We tried to go again and they said we owe dues, but we had auto pay so we called and called but were told someone would call us back. Nobody ever called us back. Trying to find a way out, lying to get money and not holding up your end is not good business.
Jun 09, 2025 · JOSH SANCHEZWe love our time here. I just wished you would not have charged me $50 for the honey truck, when the camper beside me asked Jacob to dump them and he just did it for the $25. That really upsets me, especially since we're members.
May 26, 2025 · Johnna HawthorneThis was my first stay in my campervan/RV, and the staff were super helpful getting me set up successfully. I had a most lovely spot down by the creek, and it was peaceful, easy, and beautiful. I would happily stay here again and again!!!
