Camp Wokanda Reviews
Camp Wokanda offers a bunch of rental and camping opportunities, as well as the location the Peoria Park Districts phenomenal maple syrup is produced! It is also a fantastic place to learn about plants and hike. Right now you can spot some of the first blooms of spring right along the trails. These tiny flowers are Spring Beauties (Claytonia virginica)!
Mar 21, 2023 · Andrew WirtzRecently had our wedding at Camp Wokanda and cannot recommend enough for those looking for that outdoor wedding vibe while still having access to an indoor reception hall! We did have some issues with our catering company and I want to make it a thousand percent clear that we had no issues with Camp Wokanda at all! The staff is so easy to work with and are great at letting you know what is available to you on the grounds. My only suggestion is to make sure whatever catering company you may use knows what is available to them like the walk in fridge and chest freezers in the dining hall as the company we used (who has catered here before) apparently were not aware of these. Camp Wokanda is a beautiful location for a wedding, my now husband and I had an absolute wonderful wedding day and we would choose Camp Wokanda again if we had to do it all over!
