Camp Dakota Family Camping & Adventures! Reviews
Every interaction with staff was great. They were all super friendly and eager to help with whatever. There is plenty to do with the kids. Younger will like the gold mining and older can experience paintball and archery. The zip line and arial park are also quite entertaining. Camp office pricing is far less than expected. We brought our 30 foot trailer and enjoyed our large site. The only draw back is the lack of a dump station for our black tank. Still not anything that will keep us from returning.
Jun 16, 2025 · Justin HOur time at Camp Dakota was absolutely fantastic! There were so many fun activities for all ages — we loved RV camping in the beautiful forest setting, digging for coins (such a unique and exciting experience!), trying our hand at archery, and tackling the aerial course, which was thrilling and so well set up. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything even more enjoyable. You can really tell they care about making sure everyone has a great time. We can’t wait to come back and create even more amazing memories!
Apr 28, 2025 · Stacy SwiderskiWhile there are a lot of activities to be had, and it's easier to get a reservation than a state park, I didn't know that I'd come back. The sites were OK, but the amenities weren't great. They didn't have actual toilets anywhere on the property, only porta-potties, and a lot fewer than they really need for the amount of campers.Overall, the activities felt a little overpriced, but they were fun and the staff were friendly and helpful. The $25/minute showers were a little beyond the pale though.
Jun 30, 2025 · Aaron HubbardThis is a truly special place! The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The store on the premises has a lot of useful stuff like smores, coffee, knives, deodorant, tarps, etc. the yurt was very large, clean and stayed warm. Very beautiful grounds. The porta pottys were surprisingly bearable. The activities were a great time and worth it.
Jun 27, 2025 · Levi BreWe spent the day at Camp Dakota today as part of my teen’s birthday celebration. We brought a few friends and had an absolutely wonderful time! Everything surpassed my expectations! The camp is set in a beautiful wooded area, everything is well kept, and there is a wide variety of adventurous activities. The staff was awesome, instructive, and patient. At every activity, it was clear safety was their top priority. With a groups of 13 years olds and 11 year olds, we weren’t sure how some activities would land, but the kids absolutely loved everything they did. I am only bummed we didn’t have more time to spend, but due to how well run Camp Dakota is, we were scheduled in a way that allowed us to make the most of our day. The kids got to play paintball, zip line, do the challenge course, make tie dye shirts, and do archery. The staff even delivered our pizzas to the art tent so the kids could eat after doing their tie dyes. Highly recommend!!
