Apr 27, 2025 · Cheryl YoungI love camping so much that I've been to a lot of campgrounds. I joined KOA because I had a lot of good memories from my trips out west, but Buckeye Lake KOA is the worst. It rained so much last night that my tent got flooded by about 4.5-5 inches. I only found out this morning that this happens when it rains. None of the staff told me in advance. There were a lot of sites that weren't flooded, but I couldn't understand why they gave me a site that would flood when they knew it would, but I tried to endure it. But when the staff came in the morning and saw that my tent was flooded, they didn't apologize. When I asked what happened and if this was the first time, they said it was because of the rain, and that site floods when it rains. Then they asked me why I didn't move my tent to a place that wasn't flooded. I was speechless. I didn't know my tent would flood, and I didn't think I'd have to go out on a rainy day to move my tent. All I could do was wait for the rain to stop. Plus, there were so many mosquitoes, it was horrible. After I finished packing up, I went to the sink to wash my hands. But the water wouldn't drain and it was so dirty. It was the worst campsite I've ever been to.
Jun 09, 2025 · hie parkVery nice staff. Whoever the owner is takes no pride in their business. We showed up after a rain shower and our site was not usable. Picnic table was under water. The entire site was a mud hole. People spend anywhere from $10-$200,000 on campers and motorhomes pulling into this place and they’re just sloshing through mud. The least they could do is stone the roads and Sites. I would not recommend this campground to anyone.
Jun 18, 2025 · John HoffmanStayed one night during a long road trip. The staff were so friendly! Everyone I encountered was helpful in some way. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the tent site was maintained. The whole campground was quiet on a Saturday night, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of driving. I'll be back!
Apr 28, 2025 · NikJa KenReally needs some TLC. Showers/restrooms are nice and clean. No gravel or concrete sites. All mud sites. Sites are very close, not level at all.Laundry room got the job done.$2.00 wash$1.50 dryEasy to get to location. Over all, place is very disappointing, needs major TLC, it would help tons if they would put some gravel on sites and roads to site. Pool was closed. No wifi, sign says wifi coming soon.Would not recommend this KOA.
