Jan 03, 2025 · Tina FrickGreat place to get back to nature. Long scenic path through the surrounding woods, wide open spaces, mesmerizing night time skies. Especially enjoyed the campfire area and the communal kitchen/studio that had a library with vintage books, including a 1968 one by Robert F. Kennedy. Friendly folks all around.
Oct 30, 2024 · Sally ThurstonBrushwood Folklore Center is wonderful and I love it there. Whether I show up at more quiet times during the camping season for hiking, relaxation, and simply enjoying nature, or during festive times for enjoying the greater community and all that we have to share, Brushwood is a perfect place to replenish my body, mind, and spirit.
Mar 14, 2022 · Steven LualdiLife-changing experience.I got to finally meet people like myself and see what kind of future I could have. Before I arrived I was questioning the path my faith was on, and once I was finally immersed in a community full of people like me, I have never been more certain of my future.Despite the doomsday-like weather I had the best time of my life and I will absolutely do anything I can to come back next year, because it was so nice to be unapologetically me, even if it was for three days. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned at least once, if not twice a day. I watched the porta-pottied get cleaned every day and the trash be collected at least once a day. They drive around to pick up your trash, all you have to do is point to it.My only complaint is that there seem to be only two options: a week-long pass and a weekend pass. We need something in between.
Jul 23, 2023 · AnaBest place on earth. My home! This is more than just a camp ground. It’s a place to be yourself, discover yourself, and love every experience and interaction. The campground is clothing optional and a spiritual place so know that going into that land. It’s certainly unique and might not be for everyone. But if you find a home here you’ll never want to leave.
