However, for many Alabamians, the benefits of Bluff Creek Park outweigh these potential drawbacks. Its affordable rates, the sheer recreational opportunities offered by Walter F. George Lake (often called Lake Eufaula by locals), and the chance to escape into a natural, lakeside setting make it a viable and attractive option. The "big rig friendly" aspect also broadens its appeal to a significant portion of Alabama's RV community. If you're a local who can tolerate some industrial background noise for the sake of excellent fishing, boating, and clean, convenient facilities on a beautiful lake, Bluff Creek Park remains a suitable choice for your next Alabama adventure. Understanding these nuances upfront ensures a more prepared and enjoyable experience, allowing you to focus on the joys of Alabama's great outdoors.

Bluff Creek Park Reviews
Upon arrival we were impressed. People seemed friendly and she said we could ride through first to pick a tent campsite. We didn’t like number 50 after reserving over the phone, there was no privacy whatsoever with everyone packed like sardines in their rvs and one person had a BLOW UP BOUNCY HOUSE for their children. After we picked a nice campsite away from everyone else, she THEN decided to disclose that the entire section on the east side of the park was closed. That would have been something to say up front. We settled for site 72. Bathrooms were nice and clean. When the reviews tell you that the paper mill stinks and is loud, it literally does smell TERRIBLE, like what I would think the Chernobyl chemical explosion site smelled like. And then the noise ALLL NIGHT LONG. It sounds like banging metal and reverse vehicle beeping constantly. We couldn’t leave quick enough the next morning, and even began feeling nauseous from the burning plastic smell. And my god…the dumpster area and camp areas all around smelled like an actual death camp. We tossed our trash as fast as we could, gagging our way to freedom outside of that campground. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.
Oct 10, 2023 · Mindy KarasturyThe only reason not 5 stars is I couldn't get to the water easily. We were in #78. Beautiful. Some choice ones with a better water view and on the main part of the river were 60, 61 and 62.
Sep 22, 2023 · Deb SmithWe had fun. The bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms were all clean. We got to see gators. The sites are hit or miss on size and privacy. Our site was huge but there was a site super close to the back of us. It didn't affect us since we were the only campers in our loop. We had water side but didn't really have good access to the water to put kayaks in but several other sites did. Bring mosquito spray! We wouldn't mind staying there again though.
Aug 05, 2019 · Cricket PerkinsIt's a beautiful place. Trying to get down the hill to fish on site # 57. Is rough I fell and hurt my knee. And after I got to fish. It wasn't worth the one catfish I did catch. With the 20 rigs.i went threw. $ 50.00 worth of sinkers. Eagle claw 3oz. $ 5 + pac. Of 2 team cat fish 5 hooks. Plus barrel swivels. I'm thinking it's a racket. They put a big rope out their about 25-30 ft. Just to bring up fishing supplies. Cost for the market to help the stores. But mabe there is a better spot .near byNot to mention these darnANTS 🐜 me and the wife have bite marks all over us . They done took over our new Brinkley. We've never had bug problems before .We've sprayed set out bait. It's horrible.
