Blue Rocks Family Campground, like many established and popular camping resorts, offers a variety of ways for campers to find value and special experiences throughout their season. While specific, real-time promotions are best confirmed directly with the campground, common types of offers and value propositions typically include:
- Seasonal Rates: For Pennsylvanians looking for a consistent getaway, Blue Rocks offers seasonal site opportunities for RVers, allowing them to keep their setup on-site for the entire camping season. This often provides significant cost savings compared to nightly rates over an extended period. (Call for seasonal pricing and availability.)
- Off-Peak Season Pricing: Rates typically vary between "Peak Season" (May 1st - October 31st) and "Non-Peak Season" (November 1st - April 30th), with lower prices often available during the non-peak or shoulder months. This encourages visits during quieter times.
- Holiday Weekend Minimum Stays: While not a discount, holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day) often require a three-night minimum stay, ensuring a full, festive experience during peak times. These weekends are typically accompanied by enhanced activity schedules.
- Tents for Troops Program: Blue Rocks Family Campground participates in the "Tents for Troops Program," offering free weekend camping for active military members, based on availability (excluding cabins & cottages). Valid ID is required at check-in. This is a significant and generous offer.
- Group Rates for Day Visits and Overnight Stays: For school groups or large gatherings, Blue Rocks offers special rates for both day visits and overnight camping, making it an affordable option for organized trips interested in exploring the boulder field, hiking, and other activities.
- Weekend Activity Schedules: The regular provision of a packed activities schedule (hayrides, live music, themed weekends, tournaments) is a continuous "added value" to the camping experience, ensuring there's always something engaging to do without extra cost (beyond specific event fees if applicable).

Blue Rocks Family Campground Reviews
We are newbie campers and stayed at Blue Rock Campground in June 6-8 for the first time. Thankfully the park ranger showed us to our campsite (52) because we would have had no way to know where we were going due to the roads and campsites not being marked well. After getting up the hills, we had a great time! We would definitely stay there again! The workers in the snack bar were nice and friendly and I could have sat at the boulder field for hours! My only suggestion would be to have better road signs for which way to go for the campsites, road name signs since there are road names on the campground map and the campsite numbers a little more visible. Thank you for a great weekend and we will be back!
Jun 16, 2025 · Carolyn MitchellWhat a wonderful place. I absolutely loved our spot. Such a cool campground. Jed is the best, he made the experience all around. Great for me and my family. I highly recommend stopping here and camping. I will be back with my family many many times. I really look forward to meeting everyone again.
May 17, 2025 · Ryan BoydLet me preface this by saying I am 40 years old and have been coming here since I was under 10 years old. We stayed here April 18-21 2025. This place has lost most of its charm. It used to be filled with families biking, hiking, walking around, riding bikes and now it's filled with non-stop golf carts. Morning to night is filled with the sounds of carts racing around. I can't think of anything less relaxing than this. I can no longer recommend a stay here and I used to look forward to this trip every year but I'm not sure we'll be back.

May 08, 2025 · jessicam317 JessicaSave ur money and time and aggravation find a different camp ground. They claim to be a family camp ground and they are far from that. Was met with anything but a welcoming smile while looking at the camp ground and looking into a family trip there as a get away. Lady in the office was straight rude and condescending towards myself and my wife. Asked if we could look around and see what they had as far as camp lay out or parks for the kids was told sure if u pay 47 dollars to get past the gate. (Not how u treat future guest or people looking to stay at ur park) informed the lady we have three small children one being 4 one being 2 and a one month old plus my wife and I and was informed that there sites are for two adults and two children only and it would be an additional 54 dollars for the extra child. Then when she was told that due to my health issues I have a medical service dog that is licensed and is needed for my heart condition was told it would then be an additional 80 dollars for having my “pet” with us. Sorry he is NOT a pet he is a medical service dog that is required and is also a direct violation of the American disability act. Not only will me and my family never stay at this place but we will also be reporting them to every agency in the state for violating the disability act and for there illegal practices. This place is a complete joke
