An RV park, often referred to as an RV resort or campground, is a dedicated facility designed to accommodate recreational vehicles (RVs), travel trailers, and sometimes tent campers. These parks typically provide individual sites with various hookups, such as electricity, water, and sewer, offering the conveniences of home in an outdoor setting. Beyond the individual sites, RV parks often feature a range of shared amenities, including restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and recreational areas like swimming pools, clubhouses, or playgrounds. The experience of staying at an RV park varies greatly from one location to another, largely depending on the park's focus, amenities, and management. Some parks cater to long-term residents, while others are geared towards short-term vacationers. Many, like Woods Valley Kampground & RV Park, aim to provide a family-friendly atmosphere with a variety of activities to keep all ages entertained. The level of maintenance, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall ambiance can significantly impact a guest's stay. Modern RV parks are increasingly incorporating features that enhance comfort and convenience, such as strong Wi-Fi, updated facilities, and diverse recreational offerings. Understanding these specific characteristics is crucial for Californians seeking the ideal RV park experience that aligns with their personal preferences and travel plans.

It is important for prospective guests to consider all available public feedback. While the park receives overwhelmingly positive reviews for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and amenities, one review from 2019 claims the individual was "Evicted then banned ... because of my disability for which I was actively having treatment in spite of the fact that I was able to pay." This serious allegation suggests that prospective guests with disabilities should inquire directly about the park's accessibility features, policies regarding long-term stays, and any accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure their needs can be met in accordance with applicable laws. While such claims are concerning and should be taken seriously, it is also important to note that federal and state laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), prohibit discrimination based on disability. Any individual who believes they have faced discrimination has the right to contact relevant authorities.

The fact that guests "will definitely go back" speaks volumes about the positive experiences many have had.
In conclusion, Woods Valley Kampground & RV Park presents itself as an excellent choice for locals in California looking for a well-maintained, amenity-rich, and family-friendly RV and tent camping experience. Woods Valley Kampground & RV Park Reviews
This place was AWESOME. It was raining and they were gracious enough to leave the common room open for us. We were able to sit by the fire and enjoy the evening together. Everyone there was super nice and attentive. Will definitely go back.

Jun 30, 2025 · Benjamin ShepherdQuiet and pretty park tucked back in the trees. We had a reservation ahead of time, and the day of our arrival, the office moved us one spot over because of muddy conditions. It was appreciated, and indeed very muddy. I was a little nervous about the campground not being paved, with how heavy our RV is, but it was no issue. The campground has some tight areas, and as such, big rigs like ours are suited for spots right up front. It worked for us, as we arrived after the office closed, and departed before the office opened. Our site shared an electrical pedestal with the site next to it, and was on the passenger side (camp side) of the site. Our cord was not long enough to make it to the driver side, so we had to pull in forwards to the site. The office was gracious to let us in even though we probably were too big for most of the park!
Feb 14, 2024 · Tyler HadleyEven though we live just 15 minutes away, we recently spent a holiday weekend camping here with friends, just to get out of the city for a short break. We had a camper, and our friends brought their tents. It was our first time camping here, and everyone in our group (4 adults, 5 kids, 3 dogs) enjoyed the campground.Despite our party being split with a camper and a tent, the staff was able to put us in two spots pretty near each other, right by restrooms, which turned out very convenient for those who needed to get up in the night. We were able to wander back and forth between our two sites easily. The restroom facilities were very clean, and in fact the whole campground was clean and tidy. They came by twice a day to empty the trashcans. Our RV spot had a red ant hill when we arrived, and when we asked if there was any way it could be treated, they came out within 30 minutes to spray. We didn't spot any other wildlife around that was a bother (no rodents) other than wasps, but it's their natural season to be out and they just liked the smell of our food apparently. Once we cleaned up from meals, they went away, and no one was stung or bothered much. Our kids enjoyed using the pool and it was kept very clean. We also brought their bikes, and they had a great time just riding around the grounds. We don't live in an area with sidewalks, so they love it when they get to just ride wild and free (respectful of other campers, of course.) There were other kids in the camp who they got to socialize with as well.We brought small dogs with us, and the whole campground seemed very dog friendly. There were plenty of waste stations around the grounds to grab bags if we needed them and dispose of their waste. The store was equipped with firewood, ice, and plenty of other supplies. The staff was friendly. The other campers were friendly. We had to borrow a can opener from one kind neighbor, and another even stopped by and played my husband's guitar and sang a couple of songs for us.We will definitely consider Woods Valley again for an easy weekend getaway from Escondido/San Diego. Just far enough away from home to feel like you don't have to deal with household stuff for a few days, but close enough we could run back if we forgot something.
Sep 08, 2023 · Tiffany SpenceA delightful 2-day stop here. Great staff with quick communications. The RV spots are mostly compacted dirt but spacious and level, despite the general hilly area. The power and water posts are new and spots have either full hookups or W&E. Very quiet here in a heavily wooded area, too! We were impressed to see a lot of yard work being done, as the grounds are well-kept. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The laundry rooms were in excellent condition. They do have a pool and free wi-fi, too. Their store is well-stocked. Other amenities include trailer storage, a rec hall with piano, horseshoe pits, volleyball and a playground. Be sure to check out the various farm animals here, too. Such a gem! They do enforce quiet hours at 10pm. They do honor Passport America memberships. This is such a nice place, about a mile from the Bates Nut Farm.
