Wind Point Park Reviews
We live about 30 minutes away from the park and have been checking out parts of the lake since we moved out here. This is definitely our favorite spot on the lake.We didn’t camp here, only had a day pass and we were just there exploring. The cabins and “shelters” look pretty nice and we’re definitely interested in spending the weekend soon. And yes, there are deer everywhere! They are accustom to humans being around and at the guest center at the front of the park they sell deer corn.I am posting this review on 6825 and the bucks are all in velvet. We were able to feed the deer from our hand. Wild deer ate from our palm. That is an experience I will never forget!I would not suggest trying this during rutting season though (October to December). The public swimming area looks very inviting too. Better than the beach at the park on the south side of the lake. The lady’s at the check in were very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.
Jun 09, 2025 · Tad BryantThis used to be my favorite park. Great location. Beautiful facilities that are always clean. They used to have the best, friendliest staff. Now this park is way too expensive. The staff is not friendly. As much as they charge, the playground is awful. There’s no shade. The equipment is all metal. The swimming area is not little kid friendly as you can’t wade in and there’s no shallow water.
Jun 14, 2025 · Lolowspoon22 12Loved, loved, loved this park!! It was our first time and we were so impressed. Staff were so friendly and helpful! They even comped us a golf cart for the week since it was our first time!! Sites are spacious and mostly level concrete pads. Easy lake access all over the park. Clean spacious laundry facilities. Our favorite part was all the deer 🦌!! So many all over the park and many will eat right from your hands. Deer foodis sold in the camp office/store.
Mar 04, 2025 · Cheryl WareThis is a routine stop for my family. Beautiful campground with plenty of deer that will eat out of your hand. Deluxe spots have your own private hot tub and a shared fishing dock w your neighbor
May 16, 2025 · Jimmy TannerHave a slot at the marina and have been enjoying the easy run-in for fishing. Love Lake Tawakoni! The amenities at the park are great - clean restrooms, nice park and picnic area. Great for families!
