Wilderness RV Park Reviews
Nice place to stay. Park has a pool, gazebo, large clubhouse, 2 ponds, and at night they lock the entrance gate for extra security. Lots of fish to catch too. Must have 12in or larger to keep but they have bass, brim, and catfish plus lots of turtles, frogs, crawdads, and ducks galore. Very nice owners that are straight to the point which I like. They don't deal with any bullshit or cops get called. I've been here for 3 months now and haven't seen any drama or cops having to be called. Very quiet area and it appears that every RV owner has a dog or 2 staying with them. Lots of dog walking takes place here and several well fed beautiful cats stay by the entrance area near the dumpsters. Laid back atmosphere. There are bathrooms with showers available plus a laundry room and an area to grill or clean fish, etc. Internet has been down since we came but road work has been going on and they cut the wrong lines or something like that to cause the issue. Hoping it will start working again soon but Wilderness RV park is Definitely worth the money.

Apr 19, 2025 · Jill GardnerFirst things first. Campground has tons of potential. Level sites, full hookup and even a nice wilderness setting with a pond in the middle. Pool looked nice but didn’t partake. The downside though is the over abundance of general trash or broken down structures or old rigs. In addition they clearly allow a bunch of folks to live there full time in their rigs. Many of the rigs had trashed awnings on them, external a/c’s and general trash about. I didn’t take pics of those out of respect for their privacy. Our site was probably the worst assigned spot to be honest. The power box and electronic board etc made for little to no room outside. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend at present.
Apr 09, 2025 · Jeff SlocumbYou are in the woods so more like park camping. A little tight getting up road to sites but made it with class A just fine. Bathrooms clean and serviceable. Manager friendly. Has very clean pool. Will stay here again when we come back through area.
Apr 13, 2025 · Larry MapesWe stopped here for just two nights. My wife said the guy in the office at check-in on a Sunday afternoon was not friendly. Our site was just ok, nothing special, a fhu pull-thru. The water and electric were situated about halfway into the site, but the sewer, covered by just a square patio paver, was way towards the back and was just a hole in the ground, no sewer head or anything. It always feels very unsanitary when we get sites like this having to use just a rubber doughnut to hook up our sewer lines. I called the office to ask about a dump station, which shows on the map but were told they don't have that anymore, that each site has its own sewer. So I had hoped to run just one sewer hose but had to use an extension too. Just more stuff to clean and put away in the morning when we're trying to get an early start. But luckily we had a fairly easy pull-thru with no obstacles to get out. We'd stay here again if passing through, but nothing long term.
