Welcome to Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec, an RV community located in Arnold, Missouri. For many individuals and families across the Show-Me State, RV parks offer a flexible and convenient housing solution, particularly for those seeking long-term stays or an extended base while exploring the region. Water’s Edge RV Park aims to provide essential amenities and a comfortable environment for its residents within the Arnold area, known for its proximity to natural beauty and urban conveniences.
In Missouri's diverse landscape, finding the right RV park that aligns with your specific needs, whether for temporary lodging or a more extended residence, is a significant decision. RV parks like Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec cater specifically to the needs of motorhome and travel trailer owners, offering designated sites with necessary hookups and facilities. This article will provide a detailed overview of Water’s Edge RV Park, highlighting its location, the services it offers, key features, and what to consider when planning your stay as a local user or visitor to the Missouri region.
Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec is situated at 803 Butler Ct, Arnold, MO 63010, USA. This address places the park within the city of Arnold, a thriving community in Jefferson County, Missouri. Arnold is known for its blend of suburban amenities and access to natural attractions, including the Meramec River.
The park's location offers reasonable accessibility, with direct routes to local roads and highways. For those commuting to work, accessing local services, or exploring the greater St. Louis metropolitan area, proximity to major thoroughfares like Highway 141 (as noted in reviews) is a key factor. This allows for convenient access to shopping centers, dining establishments, medical facilities, and various recreational opportunities within Arnold and neighboring communities.
However, it's important to provide a full picture based on customer feedback. While located in Arnold, one review specifically mentions "a lot of noise from Hwy 141" and that the park is "located directly behind a used car dealer." Another point raised is that some sites, like spot 837, can be challenging to back into for less experienced drivers, and that the park's name might be slightly misleading as it's "not on the waters edge" directly, though a path to the woods (which had "a lot of traffic in and out... after dark") exists. Despite these specific observations, the park's overall location in Arnold still offers access to the wider region.
Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec offers a range of services designed to support an RV stay, particularly for long-term residents. Based on customer reviews and typical RV park offerings, these services generally include:
- Full Hookup Sites: The park provides full hookup sites, which include water, sewer, and electric connections (30 and 50 amp service are typically available). Reviews confirm the presence of concrete sites, which are generally preferred for stability.
- Laundry Facility: A "clean laundry facility" is specifically mentioned in a positive review, indicating this essential amenity is well-maintained and available for residents.
- Management Responsiveness: Positive feedback highlights that "management is nice and responsive," which is crucial for addressing resident needs and maintaining a functional community.
- Common Area Maintenance: The park is described as "well maintained," suggesting that common areas and infrastructure are regularly looked after, contributing to a pleasant living environment.
- Long-Term Stay Focus: One review explicitly states, "This is a long term living camper/rv park, not a weekend getaway type park." This indicates the park's primary focus is on extended stays, and its services are geared towards residents needing more permanent solutions.
- Utility Billing: Monthly rates typically do not include electricity, meaning residents are billed separately for their electric usage.
While some older sites might have "busted and uneven" concrete pads or random discarded items, the general sentiment regarding maintenance and management responsiveness suggests an ongoing effort to provide core services effectively, especially for long-term residents.
When considering an RV park, specific features and highlights often stand out, influencing a resident's overall experience. Based on the provided customer reviews, Water’s Edge RV Park on the Meramec presents a mixed but generally positive picture, especially for long-term residents:
- Spacious Concrete Sites: Positive feedback indicates that "concrete sites are spacious," providing a solid and comfortable foundation for RVs. While some older sites might be uneven, newer sites are noted to exist.
- Responsive and Nice Management: A significant highlight is that "management is nice and responsive." This direct communication and willingness to assist residents contribute significantly to a positive living experience.
- Clean Facilities: The "clean laundry facility" is a definite plus, an essential amenity that is often a point of concern in RV parks.
- Well-Maintained Park (Overall): Despite specific issues at one site, the park is broadly described as "well maintained," suggesting a general commitment to upkeep and tidiness, especially in newer areas.
- Quiet Tenants: One review noted that "The tenants are very quiet," which contributes to a peaceful community atmosphere, a strong positive for long-term residents.
- Bordered by Trees: The park being "bordered mostly by trees" can offer a degree of natural aesthetics and a slight buffer, contributing to a more pleasant environment.
- Fair Pricing for Long-Term Stays: While one review found the holiday weekend price okay but unexpected, the overall sentiment, particularly from a long-term resident, suggests that "prices are fair" for extended stays.
It is important to also acknowledge the concerns raised:
- Noise from Highway 141: Traffic noise from the nearby highway is a notable drawback for some residents, though one found it could be mitigated with white noise.
- Challenging Site Access: Some sites, like 837, are noted as difficult for less experienced drivers to back into due to tight angles.
- "Not on the Water's Edge" Despite Name: The park's name might create an expectation of direct waterfront access that isn't fully met for all sites.
- Surrounding Area Concerns: Being behind a used car dealer and observing "questionable woods" with "a lot of traffic in and out... after dark" raised safety and environmental concerns for one reviewer.
These factors suggest that while the park has many strong points, particularly for long-term residents, prospective visitors should consider their specific needs regarding noise, site accessibility, and immediate surroundings.

Water’s Edge Rv Park on the Meramec Reviews
The tenants are very quiet. However, there's a lot of noise from Hwy 141 and it's located directly behind a used car dealer. Had my husband not been an experienced driver, there's no way someone would be able to back their camper/rv into spot 837. It's not on the waters edge. There is a path you can take through some very questionable woods and there was a lot of traffic in and out of the woods after dark. There was also random propane tanks, leftover truckbed liners, concrete pad was busted and uneven. Some of the other sites were newer. This is a long term living camper/rv park, not a weekend getaway type park. Price was fine for a holiday weekend, but absolutely nothing what we expected. I think it's a work in progress, but wouldn't recommend at this time unfortunately.
Sep 03, 2024 · V DGreat RV park. Well maintained, prices are fair, laundry facility is clean, neighbors are spectacular, management is nice and responsive, concrete sites are spacious and the park is bordered mostly by trees. Only one draw back was the street noise from local highway. I mitigated this with a fan for white noise. Stayed here seven months and would stay again.
