- Full RV Hookups: The campground provides sites with water, electric (including 30/50 amp options), and sewer hookups, ensuring that RVs have all necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. This is a crucial feature for both short-term visitors and those planning extended stays.
- Site Assistance: As noted by a long-term guest, the owner, described as "a very nice older gentleman," has been known to "bend over backwards to help with a spot." This level of personal attention and assistance with finding and settling into a site can be invaluable for RVers.
- Restrooms and Showers: Clean restroom facilities and hot showers are available, providing comfort and convenience for guests, particularly those whose RVs may not have full bathroom capabilities or who simply prefer the campground's facilities.
- Laundry Facilities: For longer stays, access to coin laundry facilities is a significant advantage, allowing guests to manage their personal belongings without needing to leave the campground.
- WiFi Access: Complimentary WiFi is available, enabling guests to stay connected, whether for work, entertainment, or planning their next adventure.
- Escorted RV Parking: To simplify the process of navigating and positioning your RV, escorted parking services are offered, which can be particularly helpful for larger rigs.
Waldo's Beach Campground possesses several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal for RVers in North Carolina. While some aspects have evolved over time, core strengths remain.
- Owner's Personal Touch: A consistent highlight, as per reviews, is the personal and helpful nature of the owner. His willingness to assist guests, especially in securing a suitable spot, creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, distinguishing the park from more impersonal operations.
- Flexibility for Stays: The campground accommodates both short "stop-throughs" for travelers on their way to destinations like the Outer Banks and longer-term "14 weeks" stays, indicating its suitability for diverse travel plans. Weekly and monthly rates are also available.
- Essential Hookups: The provision of full water, electric (30/50 amp), and sewer hookups at each RV site is a significant highlight, ensuring that most RVs can be comfortably accommodated with all necessary utilities.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: The campground is pet-friendly, which is a major plus for many RV owners traveling with their furry companions. However, it's important for pet owners to be aware of the "amount of Large Scary Dogs" mentioned in one review, particularly "Pit bulls living there full time," and to exercise caution and ensure their own pets are properly managed. The park's policy states that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and that owners must be mindful of other guests regarding barking.
- Proximity to Commerce: Its location near a Walmart and grocery stores offers practical convenience for resupplying and daily needs, a valuable feature for any traveler.
- Seasonal & Long-Term Options: With lot rates that include electricity and flexible weekly and monthly rates, the campground caters to various stay durations, from a quick overnight to extended periods.
- Closed Water Park: It is important to note that while the park historically featured a water park, it is now permanently closed. This is relevant information for potential visitors whose expectations might be based on older descriptions.

Nice Park Except a few things ,We spent 14 weeks here the owner is a older gentleman very nice. when we first got there he bent over backwards to help with a spot which we really appreciated ,the park also features a water park which is closed but ....we weren't there for that anyway .My only real issue is the amount of Large Scary Dogs ,we counted no less then 4 Pit bulls living there full time, very scary when you are walking for exerciseother that we are thankful for the spot!
Jan 17, 2023 · David CrairIt was a stop through on our way to the Outer Banks, and we didn’t have sewer hook ups. It was ok. Close enough to a Walmart and grocery store and about 30 mins from downtown Fayetteville.
May 14, 2023 · AdventureAttorneyWe have been here since May. This place is very quiet and the owner is great. He was nice and he helped us when we needed a place to live. My husband and I are very pleased with this place. We highly recommend it.
Jan 09, 2024 · Erin DeVitoThe Park is mostly closed, only the pool side & slide are open while charging full price. & we got there late afternoon, a couple of hours b4 closing. Still got charged "Full price", really? The Bathrooms & deck area are in terrible shape, dirty & smells like mildew.Had fun, because we had friends & anyone can make the best of any situation, if you choose to, but I don't like to be taken advantage of... That's what Waldo's Beach Park did. False Advertising os robbery, illegal too, I'm sure! U know? Wanted a "Refund" after seeing there's no lake at all. The Attendants pretend not to understand english, 😥😔😭, Mercy! Can't reccomend... Everything needs a good cleaning & updating too. Half price, or 1/3 would bring me back. Not full price!
Sep 06, 2019 · D. A.The internet is horrible! Lake empty, which was not communicated up front, and the staff are not exactly friendly towards females. It’s a convenient area however the on site “beach” which contains a family area and pool plays music loudly so if you are a night shifter you may have issues sleeping. Sites are okay, nice clean showers, laundry is lacking as there are only two washers and two dryers. A big plus is this Campground is gated, they close the gates around ten and however goes out first opens the gate and leaves it that way.
