Beyond the standard hookups, the park prides itself on onsite services and key amenities like a laundromat and a handy general store. For history buffs, outdoor enthusiasts, and those simply seeking a unique stop on their Nevada journey, this RV park positions you directly in the center of the action.
The elevated location provides spectacular views over the valley and the historic old cemetery, offering a beautiful backdrop to your stay. Access is convenient, located near the Comstock Highway (SR 341), which connects travelers to Carson City to the west and Reno/Sparks to the north, making it an ideal stop on a regional itinerary.
The park is committed to welcoming all guests and has specific accessibility features:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance.
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot.
- On-site parking that is well-spaced, allowing for easier maneuvering of RVs.
The high elevation (over 6,100 feet) contributes to the impressive vistas and often offers cooler temperatures than the valley floor, enhancing the overall camping experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is a GEM! The park is well maintained and the views out over the valley are spectacular. It is an easy walk into town to see all that Virginia City has to offer. The host, Sheila, is friendly and very helpful. Restrooms are clean and very spacious with separate rooms that have the toilet and shower together. They have a laundry room and a nice little store. The park is decorated with great rusty bits of cars and mining equipment. We had no problem backing in our 23-foot RV as the roads are nice and spots are well spaced. In the evenings, you'll often see horses wandering near the edges of the park.
March 14 · Diana McCThe cost changed drastically from yesterday to day. We priced the site last night for $55, when we showed up today they charged us $78 per night. For that price the wifi should actually work but it does not. Unfortunately this is the only rv park in Virginia City that I know of.
July 16 · shaggy NaylorOur stay at this RV park in Virginia City was amazing! Clean grounds, clean laundry facilities and bathroom facilities as well. We received a warm friendly welcome from the office and you’re just a walk away from everything. Although, walking in Virginia City Nevada is an experience all of its own, this sweet little diamond oasis had it all. Thank you to everyone that makes it so great!
May 23 · Trisha RWe stayed in site #16, great views along the the back row of the campground. Very clean, quiet and the laundry and bathhouse is super clean and nice. Perfect area to explore beautiful historic Virginia City!
September 15 · brenda beckThe park is very nice. It has showers, laundry, restrooms, a marker and recently opened a restaurant. Has both powered spots and dry camping. It can be crowded but it is a very nice and well cared for park. The views are wonderful and it is across the way from the county pool and library. There is also a park next to the pool. It is with in walking distance of most of Virginia City and you can see the cemetery and hear the train. The wild horses might wander though. The Owner, Carol, has a beautiful heart and a giving soul. She was willing to help us when we were at a low point after we first started full-timing in our trailer. We were unable to stay but would have gladly accepted her help had we been able to.It is a great park with wonderful staff. Well worth staying if you find your way to VC.
