Villa Carmel Reviews
I have called this place home for ten years, but am worried that I will be priced out of my home. Every year, the rent is raised above any annual raise from my job. I can't afford to retire and stay here. My lot rent is double what I paid when I arrived. There are no laws in Arizona protecting us renters from rents rising beyond what we can afford and this is stressful. Letters informing us of yet another increase come with statements that the increase is needed to provide a safe enjoyable place to live, but rather than maintaining the place, management sends letters complaining about shrubs that are too tall, and send these letters when it's dangerously hot outside for anyone to be told to trim plants. Criminals and underage people live here despite the place being a 55+ community with no police records. I even had to have a minimum credit rating as well. I have lost neighbors who could not afford to stay here.
Jun 24, 2025 · Moira WhitlockI do not live here, looking to relocate to AZ. In reading some reviews, some residents complain that mgmt is not addressing their home repairs in a timely manner.Am I Correct in assuming this community also allows renters along with home owners?
Sep 06, 2024 · Barbara DFinally have a great manager who actually cares about the community. Hired a great pool service. It has never looked better. Thank you Claudia.
Aug 26, 2024 · Tawnya VegaNice park and people. Horrible management. Have to fight and complain to get anything fixed. Management, if you can call it that, could care less about the residents. No air conditioning in the clubhouse summer 2020. Pool is constant need of attention due to requiring a new filtration system. The management and this company DO NOT CARE about residents: asked for speed control, they keep ignoring requests. Pool and Spa on premises, that we pay for, is always in constant need of repair and unusable. We have ben told last two years "we are working on getting them fixed". Cracks and craters in the road, "we will fix these", has not happened. Front gates never work when it rains, they wont fix because its too expensive. Street lights within community, have been reported last 2 years ones that are not working, management does not help. Water meters were installed and for over a year we were told "these are only for monitoring, we will not be charging extra for water". that was a down right LIE, as now we will be paying for water starting Aug 2022. Don't come here to live. Residents are nice, that is the only good here. Company owners and management treat us like complete garbage.
Apr 29, 2022 · Diane VargaThe only good manager we have had was David he cared and was espectful to all. Wish he was here. Regional manager has no people skillsAnd walks right past you and won't even say. Never smiles. My friends I've met here are great. We watch out for each other. Their the best. Some well you know. I love my house but they keep raising our rent .With nothing in return. But other than that we love itWe have a great maintenance man willing to help anyone of us.
