Twelve Palms RV Park Introduce
For RVers navigating the vibrant landscape of Lake Charles, Louisiana, the choice of where to park your rig often comes down to balancing convenience with comfort. Twelve Palms RV Park, located right on Broad Street, offers a distinct option for those seeking a highly central location with essential amenities. As fellow Louisianians, we understand the varied needs of RV travel, and this article aims to provide a clear, factual overview of Twelve Palms RV Park from a local perspective, helping you decide if its urban setting and features align with your travel plans.
Twelve Palms RV Park is a smaller, more intimate park that primarily serves as a practical base for travelers and those on extended stays in the Lake Charles area. Its downtown location is both its primary advantage and a key characteristic to consider. Unlike sprawling resort-style parks, Twelve Palms focuses on providing fundamental RV services within close proximity to city life. It offers full hookups, which are crucial for any RV stay, and aims to be a straightforward option for those who prioritize location over extensive recreational amenities.
It's important for prospective visitors to manage expectations regarding the park's environment. While some RVers seek quiet, secluded spots surrounded by nature, Twelve Palms RV Park is nestled in an urban setting. This means it offers immediate access to city conveniences but also comes with the realities of downtown life. Our goal is to provide you with all the available information so you can make an informed decision about whether this park aligns with your preferences for a Louisiana RV experience.
Twelve Palms RV Park is centrally located at 2323 Broad St, Lake Charles, LA 70601, USA. This address places it directly in a busy downtown area of Lake Charles, a significant hub in Southwest Louisiana. Its location on Broad Street means it is highly accessible to the city's commercial districts, local businesses, and various downtown attractions. For travelers utilizing major routes, getting to the park typically involves navigating city streets once you exit the main highways.
The park's urban setting provides immediate access to essential services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, and a wide array of dining options, from local eateries to chain restaurants. Public transportation might also be more readily available from this central location, offering alternatives to driving for exploring the city. For those working in Lake Charles or needing consistent access to city facilities, this central position is a clear advantage.
However, the downtown location also means the park is on a very busy street, which can lead to significant noise, especially during the day and from nearby establishments at night. Some reviews specifically mention noise from a club across the street lasting until late hours. This is a crucial factor for campers who prioritize quiet and solitude. While the park is on a slab, some guests have noted the need to maneuver over a curb to exit, which is a minor detail but worth noting for larger rigs. For those accustomed to and comfortable with urban environments, the accessibility to city amenities might outweigh the noise factor, making it a pragmatic choice.

Twelve Palms RV Park Reviews
Our stay in this place lasted just over ten months. For the last month we were not in the camper. When we returned to pick up our camper we realized that our belongings that we had stored in the storage room were not there, so we asked the manager to show us the videos from the surveillance system. She was not very interested in the subject, and she showed us very few details, we could not know what happened and everything that was there was lost. I don't recommend this place.
Nov 05, 2023 · CARINA DE LEONSmall park on a very busy downtown street. Very noisy. Not worth the money we paid. Our rig is on a slab but we need to do over a curb to exit. There's a Club across street which was loud until 3:00 a.m. Street noisy. When I discussed it with the Owner next morning, he would not refund us and said we could have left if it was so bad. Who's going to pull up stakes at 10:00 pm in the dark, in an area you are unfamiliar with. Would never stay here again. Paid way too much for this. Learned our lesson. Would give this zero stars if I could.
Feb 11, 2017 · Tina CanniffDO NOT STAY HERE!!!There is seriously nothing good about the place outrageously priced and its a dangerous area! The man who runs the place is extremely rude! Also it is in a horrible area. There is a club directly across the street which blares it's music on Friday's and Saturday's till 3 am that keeps you up all night. Also while staying here I was woke up to several gunshots across the street and after doing some more research I found out that a young man was shot and killed here in July after three men tried to rob his camper!!! Safe to say me and my family got out of here immediately even tho we were paid up for several more days the man refused to give us any money back!DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Aug 22, 2017 · Tasha TindallOof, looks NOTHING like the photos on Google. Couldn't find the entrance, so we pulled into the exit to check in. Driveway was filled with litter including NAILS!! Looked through the windows of the office, because it was closed and it looks like someone is living there?! Sleeping bag and clothes all over the floor. Noped out real quick.
Apr 15, 2021 · Roxy BeaudetOWNER IS A THIEF!! Husband was laid off so we decided to move to a RV park that cost less than the one we were in. We talked to the owner on the phone and he told us the price - went and looked and the receptionist said we could put a $100 deposit down and if something happened where we could not move in we would get our money refunded back to our card. I asked her if she was absolutely sure about that and she said yes! So husband THANKFULLY got a job but in North Dakota so I called to ask him to put the deposit back on our card he said they hold it as a voucher for future rentals for us! I said but what if we don’t come back he said then we keep it! I informed him of what his Receptionist had told us and he said well that’s not true! I said then you need to train them better so they DO NOT give FALSE information BECAUSE THE ONLY reason we put a deposit down was because we were assured we would have our money returned if we couldn’t stay there. Now I would understand if he was full or had to turn ppl away but his park is HALF EMPTY because it is across from a night club and it’s in a bad part of town and a man was shot and killed not long ago there and apparently there are ppl that come into the park and do drug deals and approach the residents to buy drugs ( all of this was recently revealed to me by a former resident there - that’s why they moved out)!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DUMP AND IF YOU DO - BEWARE THE OWNER IS A COMPLETE THIEF!
