Tri-State RV Park Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and travelers traversing Pennsylvania, finding a convenient, well-equipped, and welcoming place to stop is paramount. Tri-State RV Park, located at 401 Shay Ln in Matamoras, PA, stands out as a reliable choice, particularly for those on longer journeys or looking to explore the beautiful tri-state area where Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey converge. This park offers a practical and comfortable solution for RVers, whether it's for a quick overnight stay or a base for extended exploration.
Tri-State RV Park is designed with the needs of RV travelers in mind. Reviews from real customers highlight its ease of access directly off I-84, making it an ideal "easy in, easy out place to stop." This convenience is a significant advantage for those who prioritize seamless transitions on their road trips. While some note its "parking lot" aesthetic, a common characteristic of many convenient overnight RV parks along major interstates, recent improvements have been observed, with "only a few permanent rigs now rather than most of the sites being permanent folks back then." This suggests a shift towards a more transient-friendly atmosphere, welcoming a broader range of travelers.
The park is praised for its "friendly and helpful staff" and the overall sense of security and maintenance. Even with the unavoidable "I84 noise" that comes with proximity to a main travel route, many find it a perfectly acceptable trade-off for the convenience and functionality provided. For Pennsylvania locals and those passing through, Tri-State RV Park offers a practical and increasingly well-regarded option for their RV adventures.
Tri-State RV Park's address at 401 Shay Ln, Matamoras, PA 18336, USA, pinpoints its strategic location at the confluence of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. This "tri-state" advantage makes it an exceptionally accessible and convenient hub for RVers exploring the Northeast region, particularly for those traveling along Interstate 84.
Its immediate proximity to I-84 is a key highlight, allowing for effortless exits and entries, minimizing travel time and stress. This is perfect for those who are simply looking for a convenient overnight stop on a long drive to destinations like Maine, as noted by a past guest. Beyond the interstate, the park is "directly on the Delaware River," opening up opportunities for water-based recreation. The surrounding area offers amenities such as grocery stores, drug stores, specialty shops, and various dining options, ensuring that campers have access to all necessary supplies and services without venturing far. This combination of major highway access, proximity to the Delaware River, and local conveniences firmly establishes Tri-State RV Park as a well-located option for Pennsylvania RVers and travelers alike.

Tri-State RV Park Reviews
We stayed here for one night en route to Maine. It was very convenient to pull off of I-84 and check in for one night. We only used electricity for the night and it was very easy and convenient. It was easy to find, relatively well lit and we were allowed to pull in just after 10pm which was nice to not have a time constraint on getting in. We did not use the bathrooms or shower facility as we had our own so I cannot attest to the bathrooms or showers. Our site was fairly level and we did not have to spend extra time leveling our rig. If you are looking for an easy in, easy out place to stop on your way, this is a good one.
May 12, 2025 · Mark McAdamsThis place has improved a lot since my last stay 2-3 years ago. It's still basically a parking lot. Only a few permanent rigs now rather than most of the sites being permanent folks back then. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom generally clean though the shower stalls couild use a good scrubbing. Yeah, lots of I84 noise but that is not unusual for parks located along main travel routes. Would stay here again when passing throuigh.
Apr 26, 2025 · Carl CarlsonWe have used this park twice for an overnight stay on our way to New England. Its easy access from the freeway, decent price point, and nice big pull thru FHU sites. A little noisy becasue of the truck traffic. It does have some nice big grassy areas for the dogs. We would use it again if we traveled thru this area.
Jun 17, 2025 · Dave MooreThis is my opinion and should be taken as such. This is a perfect stop that is right off the highway. There are enough spots to also get gas nearby. If you need a quick stop for an overnight. This is a perfect place.
May 23, 2025 · jody and heidi bATESWe pass through Matamoras traveling north and south in our RV. We always stop here because of such easy access, large pull through sites, nice showers/laundry, and very nice people. If interstate noise bothers you, it is right near the road; personally, it lulls me to sleep. We highly recommend for easy stop overs.
