For Missouri residents, particularly those in the Springfield area or those frequently traveling through the Ozarks, Timbercreek RV Park presents a potential option for RV accommodations. Its suitability for locals, however, comes with important considerations, especially in light of recent feedback regarding management changes.
The primary advantage for locals is undoubtedly the park's location. Situated in Springfield, it offers convenient access to a wide array of city amenities, including shopping, dining, medical facilities, and attractions like the Springfield Conservation Nature Center and the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium. For Missourians planning a quick weekend trip, needing a temporary base during home renovations, or visiting family in the area, the easy access to major highways (I-44, US-60/James River Freeway, US-65) makes it an appealing stop. The direct adjacency to a public park provides immediate opportunities for outdoor recreation, which is a significant plus for anyone looking to enjoy green spaces without traveling far.
Furthermore, the park's capacity for both short-term and extended stays could be beneficial for locals. This flexibility allows for diverse needs, from a single overnight stop to a monthly rental, offering a solution for various travel or temporary living scenarios within their home state. The presence of full hookups (water, sewer, electric) ensures that essential RV needs are met, providing the necessary infrastructure for comfortable living.
However, it is crucial for Missouri locals to be aware of the reported challenges, particularly concerning recent management changes. The feedback about unresponsiveness, lack of office presence, potential double-bookings, and reported issues with overall maintenance and customer service from the new management cannot be overlooked. For a local considering this park, it would be highly advisable to contact the park directly via phone at (417) 881-8001 prior to arrival, clarify current operating procedures, check site availability, and perhaps even conduct a brief on-site visit if possible. This proactive approach would help confirm the current state of the park and the level of service one can expect.
Ultimately, while Timbercreek RV Park's prime location in Springfield offers considerable convenience for Missouri residents, the current public perception suggests that prospective guests should proceed with caution and verify operational details to ensure their stay meets their expectations. For those who prioritize location and basic hookups and are willing to navigate potential customer service inconsistencies, it might still serve as a functional option in the Springfield area.

Timbercreek RV Park Reviews
This place is a great homey environment and an excellent location for our needs. It’s right beside a public park. And super convenient to main area highways. The management is friendly and will watch out for you and your belongings. I would definitely recommend them for short or long term visits to Springfield.
Feb 14, 2023 · Steve MooreThis park is under new management. We got a call last night at around 8pm saying they had a spot open and we could come on over the next day. We called the lady back to see when the check in time would be and got no answer on the phone. We then decided to drive to the park to see if a spot was open. We get to the park and go to the office were we was greeted with a sign saying the office was no longer open. We then drove around the park and seen 2 spots open. A friendly man seen us driving around the small park and stopped us. He said the campgrounds was under new management and the lady that was running the place has double booked spots and doesn't ever go to the office. This campground would be a good small campground if they had better management. Im just glad we didn't hook up to our camper and drag it over to the campground.
Dec 12, 2021 · Mercedes HutsellDrove through looking for a place to stay in the future. Greeted by manager standing in front of our car asking what we were doing there. Rude and pointed to her fifth wheel (lives in the park) bragging how it's one of the nicest in the park. Stay here no way.
