Mobile home parks, or manufactured home communities, have become increasingly popular choices for retirees and those seeking an affordable yet amenity-rich lifestyle in Florida. They offer a unique blend of independent living with the benefits of community facilities and social opportunities. The Meadows At CountryWood exemplifies this model, providing residents with access to a variety of recreational features within a secure, age-qualified environment. It's an alternative to traditional homeownership that can offer significant savings and a focus on leisure and social interaction.
As with any significant living decision, researching and understanding the specifics of a community is essential. While The Meadows At CountryWood boasts a wealth of desirable features, it’s also important to be aware of all facets of resident experiences. Reviews indicate that while the "residents are great," some have expressed concerns regarding management and lot rent. Specifically, there have been discussions about the affordability of lot rent and ongoing maintenance issues, such as land sinking after events like Hurricane Milton, with claims that "The land where our home on is sinking even more so after Milton, their responsible for the land upkeep. They've known about this for a year, nothing. Is being done to fix their problem." Additionally, some residents have noted a perceived increase in younger individuals, questioning the enforcement of the "55+ community" designation. Conversely, many residents find the "place is quiet and well maintained" and that "People are friendly, the majority of the places are well maintained save a few here and there. The common area buildings are a bit dated but, well maintained. All in All a really nice, quiet place to live." This balanced perspective highlights the importance of thorough due diligence, particularly regarding management practices and the specific terms of lot leases and community rules under Equity Lifestyle Properties (ELS).

The Meadows At Countrywood Reviews
The residents are great, problem is the management. Rent is sky high. They claim to be a 55+ community but we are seeing more and more younger people moving in. Do your research on ELS before moving here. I wish we had. You'll see that their greedy slum lords. The land where our home on is sinking even more so after Milton, their responsible for the land upkeep. They've known about this for a year, nothing. Is being done to fix their problem. Waiting for someone to fall in the hole and sue ELS. Look up in FB, We The People Are Getting Screwed By Equity Lifestyle Properties.
Apr 05, 2025 · Kim RivardMoved in about 6 months ago. The place is quiet and well maintained. The rent is really expensive but, so is everything now days. the water serving the community comes from a well and is ridiculously hard so, be prepared to install a softener if the place your buying doesn't already have one. People are friendly, the majority of the places are well maintained save a few here and there. The common area buildings are a bit dated but, well maintained. All in All a really nice, quiet place to live.
Nov 02, 2023 · Chris CanadaGates are broken 90 % of time, water shut off often for days because of water breaks, golf course in terrible conditions, pools not properly maintained, clubhouse dated and a continuous high increase for leased land.
Oct 10, 2024 · terena pellasce3 years ago when I moved in it was a gated community. Now management has turned it into trailer park trash. Rent is Sky High.gates don't work. Water is not able to be used for anything but the toilet. I do not recommend this place
Mar 06, 2023 · Gayle CothronManagement needs to do a better job with fire ants. I walk my dog, and I'm constantly on the lookout. Also, Gates software/controls need to be updated. Any guests coming in after gate closes can't use the keypad because it only works with local area code, which I don't have, so they have to call me so I can drive to gate and figure out best way to get gate open. How many people in Florida don't have local area code? .... many! Last, they need to relax their parking restrictions a bit. They really don't have a dedicated parking area for visitors.
