The Campers Hub Introduce
Welcome to **The Campers Hub**, a distinctive RV park and campground nestled in the beautiful Western Slope region of Colorado, near the vibrant town of Montrose. This is not your typical RV park; it represents a modern vision for the traveler, combining the relaxation of a traditional campground with the essential functionality of a dedicated workspace for the digital nomad. Situated on 14 acres with stunning views of the majestic San Juan Mountains, The Campers Hub is quickly becoming a favorite stop for both seasoned RVers and first-time campers exploring the Colorado landscape. It's a place where natural beauty meets modern necessity.
The park is characterized by its welcoming atmosphere and its forward-thinking amenities. Visitors frequently highlight the warmth of the camp hosts and owners, who are invested in creating a comfortable, friendly, and progressive environment for all guests, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Even as the park continues its development journey toward a grander vision, current guests consistently praise the foundational elements already in place, noting the clean facilities, new hookups, and a quiet, peaceful camping experience despite its proximity to the highway.
At its core, The Campers Hub aims to fill a recognized gap in the market: providing a viable, productive workspace for those who work remotely from the road. Its beautifully renovated main building, a former schoolhouse, is the heart of this concept, offering not just traditional campground necessities but a true professional coworking space. This commitment to both leisure and work sets it apart, allowing you to seamlessly balance your outdoor Colorado adventures with your professional responsibilities. Whether you are passing through or looking for a base camp to explore southwestern Colorado, The Campers Hub provides a clean, well-maintained, and evolving destination.
The initial sites are well-prepared, featuring level, thick gravel pads, a small tree for shade, a picnic table, and a fire pit, encouraging classic outdoor enjoyment. The electrical hookups are new and reliable. While the park is in an expansion phase, the existing infrastructure ensures a high-quality stay. The clear, unobstructed views from the location offer a spectacular backdrop for sunsets and world-class stargazing, with guests having reported seeing the Milky Way on clear nights. This blend of simple, quality campsites and unique modern amenities provides an unmatched camping experience in the Montrose area.
The Campers Hub is conveniently located at **18265 US-550, Montrose, CO 81403, USA**. The location is situated just off U.S. Route 550, making for exceptionally easy access for RVs and trailers traveling along the Western Slope of Colorado. The excellent accessibility is a major benefit, especially after a long travel day, as noted by travelers who find the gravel roads within the park easy to navigate to their sites.
The proximity to Montrose is another significant advantage. The RV park is only a couple of miles from the main town center, giving guests quick access to essential services and local attractions. Within a few short miles, you can reach major shopping centers and amenities, including Walmart, City Market, Safeway, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, and a large car wash. This perfect balance of feeling somewhat removed for a quiet camping experience while being functionally close to all city conveniences makes it highly practical.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the location is a prime basecamp. It is wonderfully situated close to major natural attractions, most notably the breathtaking **Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park**, which is a must-see for any Colorado visitor. The RV park is also located directly on a bike trail that connects to an impressive network of over 70 miles of mostly paved bike paths throughout Montrose, offering fantastic opportunities for cycling and local exploration right from your campsite. Furthermore, the location serves as a gateway to other legendary Colorado destinations, including the magnificent San Juan Mountains, the historic Million Dollar Highway, Ouray (known as the "Switzerland of America"), and Telluride, all accessible for memorable day trips.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a small campground with a great vision for the future and the nicest camp hosts you will meet. Our check-in to this small campground was extremely friendly. We had booked a spot online, but the park was not full so we were told to take any spot we would like. We ended up in site #13. Easy access on gravel roads to the site. Our 22' travel trailer plus tow vehicle was well over the maximum rig size of 30' specified on the campground's website, but we were able to make it work by pulling forward into the empty site across from #13 then backing in. Sites are all nice thick gravel with a small tree, picnic table, and fire pit. Site was level. All sites are electric only, but we used the water fill station to add water to our fresh water tank. Electric hookups are new, convenient, and worked well.Verizon service was 3-4 bars of 5G. WiFi was excellent and good enough to stream from our site. We found 19 digital OTA TV channels with our antenna booster. There are 2 restrooms on site, each with a shower, located in the main building. They were clean and accessible 24/7. There is also a really nice work space in the main building with desks and WiFi if needed. It rained pretty heavily when we arrived but there was no standing water in the roads or sites. Overall this was a very quiet campground. There was some road noise from US 550, but it didn't bother us even when sitting outside. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants within a few miles -- Walmart, City Market, Safeway, Home Depot, Harbor Freight to name a few. Also a large car wash. There is no dump station on site at this time. The campground owners were nice enough to share their plans and overall vision for the future of this campground and we look forward to seeing it grow. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at The Campers Hub in a Travel Trailer.
July 01 · Barbara M.Campers Hub is a great place to stay close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We were greeted by the owner and he was very friendly and accommodating. The inside work area would be great for remote working or just to hang out and relax. They have a coffee bar, clean bathrooms and convenience store. The campsites are nice and well kept. The sunsets are beautiful from this location. Stargazing was great too as it offers clear unobstructed views of the sky. We even saw the milky way!! I would highly suggest this place for camping and will definitely stay there again in the future. Thank you!
July 11 · Linda HouseknechtBeautiful and dog friendly!Highly recommend.Electricity and Wi-Fi was good, bathroom is very clean, and couches there was very nice.
May 25 · Kurumi SprungerHosted a home school / solar ice cream event and Taylor the owner was very kind and welcoming, made me feel valued at her facility. Would recommend, especially as they continue to improve the grounds. Just what we needed.
August 16 · David HolubetzSuper convenient to stay while we got upgrades on our van at Adrenaline Vans less than mile down the street. Likely to catch a ride between but it’s a good walk for steps too. (They partner for a discount!) Still building out but super comfortable, amazing vistas, sunset bonus and friendly chats. We used the wifi in the workspace, hot shower, wood stove, water and electric. The open crossword was a thoughtful touch. Take time to see Black Canyon NP, what a delightful surprise! This place has such big dreams, will check back next time we pass through.
