- Site Accessibility and Assistance: A reported incident where an RV was damaged due to poor guidance during parking, with the resort reportedly disclaiming responsibility.
- Utility Concerns: Claims of water contamination twice during the stay, minimal water pressure at times, and discrepancies on electric bills, with additional charges explained as a "portion of the entire resort’s electric bill."
- Internet Reliability: The internet service was reportedly non-functional "the majority of the time."
- Heated Pool Issues: The swimming pool heater malfunctioned twice, making the pool too cold for use.
- Resident Dissatisfaction: A mention of long-term neighbors selling their mobile home due to "negative issues in this resort."
- Allegations of Racism: A deeply concerning review from an American citizen and immigrant alleges racist and disrespectful behavior from the manager, Vicki, noting a perceived change in management attitude and a trend of residents selling their mobile homes due to these issues. This is a serious accusation that prospective residents should be aware of.

Sunshine MH & RV Resort Reviews
My lady and I just spent 2 winter months at the Sunshine RV Resort in Lake Placid, FL which we paid for in advance. As a result of our stay, we will never return to that resort. When we arrived, we were shown to our camping spot by one of their personnel. He took us in to the sight from a poor direction not leaving much room to maneuver. As we were turning to back into the sight, the rear of my RV hit the front fender of the neighbor’s car putting a dent in it. The RV man parking us was not in view of my rearview mirror and did not stop me until after the accident. We ended up having to go around the block and enter from the other direction. As a result, the resort wouldn’t take any responsibility for the accident and I had to pay for it myself. The resort maintenance manager told me that the man parking us didn’t know what he was doing. In addition to this initial problem, we experienced, the water was contaminated twice during our stay and the water pressure was minimal several times. The internet service didn’t work the majority of the time either. When we got our electric bill, there were additional charges which we were told was for our portion of the entire resort’s electric bill. Also during our stay, the heater on the swimming pool went out twice making it too cold to get into. Our neighbors, who were full timers, put their place up for sale after more than 10 years there during our stay and told us they have had enough of the negative issues in this resort. The only good thing I can say about it is that the people who played pickleball there were very friendly and accommodating. Think carefully before you decide to visit this RV resort.
Mar 26, 2025 · Art KonaI am an immigrant and American citizen of the United States for 15 years , I tried to apply to rent at this park , and the manager, Vicki, acted racist from the moment she saw me. She had a rude and nasty attitude. This park had different management years ago. This is one are disrespectful. Thats why they're moving and people selling all the mobile homes. Don't rent there or you'll have a bad time. I'll post a photo below so you can read how she talks about people. RACIST.
Jun 07, 2025 · UsaWe have stayed here for 3 Winters now. Great Park!! The location is a short drive to each coast, near Casinos, Race Tracks, and shopping. The owners continue to invest in the park. The Staff is Great and works hard to make it a place like Home.
Mar 02, 2025 · Andy CaspersonThis little gem is quiet, away from the traffic of the coasts. There are horseshoe, pickleball, golf, fishing, bingo, euchre, poker enthusiasts that meet here every winter. We were welcomed by most residents. One of the friendliest places to winter in Florida.
Mar 25, 2025 · Pam WrightWe’ve stayed in many RV parks, a few in Florida. Sunshine is one of the best. Great pool. Plenty to do. And the people in the park are the nicest I’ve come across. We will definitely be back.
