Sun Retreats Lancaster County Reviews
Beautiful campground, friendly, helpful staff, on site(shootout to Gail) and speaking on the phone to reservations. We were impressed as soon as we pulled in by the beautiful grounds. We were greeted at the gate, by Gail, with everything we needed. Gail was friendly, gave excellent directions to our site, she did offer an escort but, you know men. The sites are a good size and most have trees separating them. Grounds are beautiful and extremely well kept, It's very clean, cabins look amazing. I did not go in the bathrooms, but, im sure they are also very clean and nice. We were on site 161, spent quite a bit of time trying to level our trailer and became quite aggravated. Called down to the office, explained our situation and within 5 minutes someone was up to help us. We didn't have enough wood to level our trailer so they brought us cinder blocks, stayed until we were satisfied with the placement of the trailer and it was level. We will definitely be back and look forward to visiting other Sun Retreat campgrounds. Thanks Gail for all your help. We highly recommend Sun Retreats Lancaster County!!
May 22, 2025 · Kathleen CampNice family campground for a spring weekend away. The indoor pool drew us here, but we would love to return in the summer when the pool enclosure is opened up and you can use the splash park too. Had activities for the kids in a beautiful meeting hall. Nicely spaced and level sites, good restroom access, good views. The unexpected perk for the kids was the paved roads that were perfect for biking/scootering!
Apr 24, 2025 · Janel GleesonRecently, my wife and I had an opportunity to visit the campground. We were kind of doing a reconnaissance to see if it is a place we would like to stay. The first person who made contact with us in the office was Kim Leslie. We had many questions And she was able to answer them all. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Soon we will be staying at the campground and one of those reasons is because of Kim Leslie. They say it’s always good to make a great first impression. Well, she has impressed us greatly. Oh and yes, of course the campground is wonderful and we’re looking forward to staying there.
Apr 26, 2025 · Rick LynchWe enjoyed the stillness of the woods. The site was nice and clean. The staff friendly we especially enjoyed talking with John. They were out of propane. Not all the staff in restaurant who we're working with food has hairnets and gloves. The food was good the Funnel Cake Fries are great! The cable did not work at our site. Activies were fun! Mini Golf was enjoyable. Most of the seasonal sites were well maintained and people very friendly. Bathrooms were clean!4 th time staying ~ we will camp again.Ice cream delicious too! Great campground for families as well as couples. All different sites available. However biggest down side Internet is terribly spotty! If you have to work from your site don't except it to work.
Jun 03, 2025 · M SetnarI loved it, we thought the place was terrific. we opted out of the golf cart and walk the whole property(next time we will get the golf cart, the place is huge) We had perfect weather and a perfect experience. We walked all the way by the horseshoe pits and found, what was labeled on the map, as a hiking trail. We went beyond the hiking trail and found an entrance to 14,000 acres of state game Lands. It was incredible out there, but it is a hunting ground. Be careful when you get out there. The campsites were vast and different. You get a basic tent site. Some of which back up to a stream. You can get RV sites. You can rent a teepee, a wagon, a caboose, and a pirate ship. Most rentals have bathrooms and showers in them. But for the ones that don't there are convenience stations throughout the whole property. One day for about an hour I just sat on a bench at a small baseball field and just listened to the wind blow. There are fire pits throughout the property. They have a nice indoor pool. They have a nice playground. They have an outdoor pool. They have mini golf. They have a lake. Fishing, baseball, horseshoes, basketball. The possibilities are endless. I really liked it.
