Spring Lake Mobile Home Estates, located at 100 1st Ave, Bartlett, IL 60103, USA, is a manufactured home community situated in the suburban landscape of Bartlett, Illinois. In this type of community, residents typically own their manufactured homes and lease the individual lots upon which their homes are placed from the park management. This model can often provide a more affordable entry point into homeownership compared to purchasing traditional single-family residences in the high-demand Chicagoland area.
It is important to note that Spring Lake Mobile Home Estates is a 55+ adult community, meaning that all occupants must be 55 years or older. A recent review described it as a "very bad place," citing a "complete breach of contract, dishonesty and misleading" behavior, specifically mentioning a situation where a house under contract was allegedly sold to someone else. The reviewer also noted "red flags from day one" and a lack of communication. Another review mentioned frustration with receiving indirect answers about mandatory fees beyond lot rent. Spring Lake Mobile Home Estates Reviews
This is a very bad place. My partner and I were under contract for a month on a house, only to find out they sold the house out from under us. Complete breach of contract, dishonesty and misleading. This is a very sketchy company and we had red flags from day one. Not long into the process they stopped communicating, leaving us in the dark. I absolutely do not recommend even engaging with this company. I don’t even need to get into any other issues we noticed in this experience as the breach of contract should be all you need to know.
Aug 04, 2022 · Samuel OlsonCalled for details but ended up on a whole different topic. Asked a simple question. Other than lots fees and rent what is mandatory to pay and she says we'll it depends do you want cable or internet. Those aren't mandatory. Those are luxury items not mandatory. Answer the question next time.
Sep 12, 2023 · David VazquezI would highly recommend you do not get involved with purchasing a trailer from this park. if I could give minus stars I would. My son and his partner had a signed contract on a home, and were awaiting the approval from their mortgage company. At first the Park was in good contact, but after not getting return responses from them after numerous emails and phone calls, they began to think something was not right. Now, after barely a month, they get approved to purchase the trailer home they signed a joint contract on. The mortgage company calls the Estates to get details on the home; they were told it was sold, right out from under them! Breach of contract BIG TIME! I guess they think they're above the law. This a very sneaky and dishonest Park to deal with. Do not trust them. I think it's their way of weeding out people that don't fit their ideals. Either way, they have broke the law, and should have to pay. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They have their own rules.
Aug 04, 2022 · Sue OlsonWhen you find a place to set up home and you have a contract with the Estates, legally you have a binding contract, but apparently Estates do not feel it's necessary to follow through with the agreed parties involved. That's bad business for everyone. What's the future going to hold for the Estates if they continue to do business like this? I hope better moral practice.
Aug 04, 2022 · Sherry ChavezPlease don't believe the website of this place. It is pure marketing hype with little basis in reality.First, they mention "Quiet Streets." Ha! Countless have been the times I've heard cars go by with their radios blaring whatever music the driver wishes to share with the unsuspecting pedestrians and home owners. There is practically no recourse if your neighbor is blaring his music at 2:00am on a work night. Oh, you could complain, but it gets your nowhere.Next, they mention in their FAQ section that the place is gated and secure... Yeah, not so much. The only gate is to the lot with their model homes. Anywhere else, and you're wide open. Nice, misleading text there! The offer "Manicured Lawns." Yeah, again, not so much. The lawns have to be cared for by you, and they're not exactly draconian when it comes to enforcing neatness ordinances around the properties. You may notice their "Gallery" area on the website is empty of pictures... three guesses as to why. Oh, and when they DO finally provide pics, you can be sure they'll be of only the model homes, not the typical areas where people live.On a positive note, they ARE conveniently located to everything they say they are... which, of course, only adds to the noise. Nothing they can do about that though, so that's not really a critique of their service. All in all, stay away. Or, if you insist on looking at what they offer, keep an open mind (and closed pocketbook) to make sure it really fits what you need. This place really is shady!
